The logistics the Trump admin worked out help out immensely. 2 shots needed hurts. Simply put, 30% means we need 170 million plus shots available if we stick with 18 and older. (255 mill * 2 * 30%).
70 million should be ready by 12-31-2020 or so, but even if they ready 100 million more in 6 months, what % can be administered in such a huge nation, when both vaccines must be kept, at minimum chilled, continuously?

The Trump administration didn't work anything out. This was the researchers, scientists, and doctors. Trump did put obstacles in the way though, and he finally helped out a bit by signing a bill that provided funding, but it took him until April. Lot of good the early warnings did since he sat on them.
Is the Trump team that has worked out the logistics for distributing the vaccine the same team that has not been able to get PPE distributed to medical providers, the same team that still has not been able to get any sort of nationwide testing plan organized, ... ?
Trump is blocking this vaccine distribution team from meeting with the Biden transition team, which means that it is quite likely there is no magical plan and even if there was, no way for the Biden team to implement it.
How many will be vaccinated depends on how many believe that this is not a deep state plot at mind control or some other QAnon nonsense.
Half or more. I wonder if we'll get it early given we make medical products at our plant... I got my flu shot, and I'll get this one.
