Yes, because it was Nixon himself who broke into the Watergate complex.

In this situation of massive fraud, they are not given many other options.

This whole process would not be needed if the dems had not committed fraud and attempted a coup. Don't complain about Trump using the LEGAL PROCESS to subvert AN ILLEGAL ACTION.
There is no proof of fraud let alone "massive fraud". Please seek help.

Impeachment is appropriate if he commits a high crim or misdemeanor. If he commits one those in connection with the legislators determinig the election (e.g. bribery), then yes, impeachment is appropriate. However, if he is elected by legal albeit politically suicidal means then no, impeachment would not be the appropriate remedy. We have to have faith that cooler minds who have the long term interests of the country in mind do not decide to go down that rabbit hole.

If it is found out he pressured the legislatures to do so then yes he should be impeached. Either way I doubt it will come down to that because the courts will strike it down.

And in the most states the law says you need to choose electors before the election is held too late now.

Based on the Constitution, there is no such thing as a rogue Elector.
The party pledged Electors are the abomination.
But law never stopped folks before.

Take it from a Libertarian/Republican with a strong dislike of "progressive" Democrats -- Ain't Gonna Happen!!

Those of us with a deeper understanding (and love) of honest
statecraft recognize that skullduggery of this sort would cause a strong resentment among statesmen and diplomats of the 15-or-so nations recognized as tested, truly-functional democracies -- soiling our reputation and prestige in a manner never seen before.

Even as swollen an ego as Trump's can recognize this.

BUT -- as with Watergate nearly fifty years ago, the slow revelation of a series of electoral miscues and deceits, coupled with the unprecedented appeals to naivete' and childishness among the "get Trump" crowd, just might set the stage for a recognition, among a substantial portion of the electorate, of the collection of manipulators, haters, thugs and gangsters into which the Democratic Party's "leadership" continues to deteriorate.

Trump stands absolutely no chance of a second term in 2021. People are better off focusing their efforts on impeaching Harris/Biden, because Democrats tell us that's what you do when a new POTUS takes office.

This seems oddly similar to 2016...
