"Britain becomes first nation in West to get a coronavirus shot; earliest doses to go to most vulnerable."

It's good to see progress in getting this to people who need it.

EU split their bets on various vaccines just like most other large entities, including Pfizer so I'd assume it's just a matter of approving it.

Interesting that a country with social medicine will be the first to get it out to their communities.

USA -- we are number 2................

Come on man that is just silly. How do you explain USA being #2 beating out dozens of social medicine countries in Europe? It was timing a committee by 10 days, I'm not saying either system is better but what an absurd way to judge the efficacy of a system. USA will deliver far more doses of covid-19 vaccine to it's citizens than any country in the world by end of this year and it will do so free of cost to it's citizens.

By your logic of this timing USA system is better than France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Italy, etc. 200+ other countries.

Good news. The more people in the world who get vaccinated against this virus, the faster it will die out. We are in a global economy, so what happens there impacts us as well.
