The logical flaw with "defund the police" is that BLM is fundamentally about economic opportunity. But if you remove the police, and hence cripple the legal system, you destabilize the economy. That's why many people stopped listening when "defund the police" became a slogan -- they're not going to support a BLM movement at the expense of an economic collapse. Hence, Obama is correct.

I've personally always known Obama to be a centrist Neo-liberal but it's funny how to took BLM going after him for people to realize this. I guess this is one of those "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of situations.

These people both praising Obama and condemning him for his comments about defund the police are completely missing what he's saying.

If you take what he said and really read it, I mean give it a think, the whole thing he said was code for keep doing what you're doing, but be smarter about it, be sneakier.
