Under Bush and Obama, the US was seen as the police of the world. This unfavourable image has been lessened under the Trump administration. The Biden administration is forecasted to continue the previous world-policing measures of Bush and Obama.

Let’s put the fact aside for a moment that Covid-19 has just brought the economy of 219 countries worldwide to its knees. China, emerging as the new superpower, still employs close to 400 Nazi Germany-style concentration camps (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-54277430).

The number of these so-called re-education camps are 40% more compared to previous estimates. Apple, Nike, Coca-Cola among many other big brands utilize the forced labor of these camps.

The US stepped up against Nazi Germany in WW2. Will the US step up against the inhumanity of the CCP? Will the big corporations – the same ones who condemned social injustice in America - condemn the crimes against humanity committed by China?

China actually seems to be dealing with Islamic extremism and extremists in a reasonable way-by protecting their own citizens. I doubt that they'd be any more welcoming of Nazis than Islamists, for some of the same reasons.

I despise what China is doing regarding trade and currency manipulation. But they seem to actually deal with extremism within their own nation, instead of allowing it to grow and spread.

The question would be better ask if the globalist plan to cut their own throats and we can reasonably guess what the answer will be !!!

If Biden is the president, absolutely nothing will be done. That is what buying influence gets you.

I agree with that assessment.

The past years, every so often we'd read about how China cracked down on Islamic terrorism, even brutally. And the more 'Right' folks here found common ground on that, even if they still considered China the 'enemy' of America for other reasons.

People here claiming they are not Communist but that's not entirely true either. Cities like HK, Shanghai, Nanjing, Kunming. Great modern cities due to capitalism. The closer you get to Beijing the more you 'feel' the old CCP shadow though. Their old rules still apply in the details. It looks all free market and lattes but try getting a permit, buying a house, or running a business. It's not overt,..but there are things that pop up.

I wonder if what we are feeling now is how other smaller nations felt as the British were spreading around the globe. Too bad there isn't a CD archive of that period

The US always supported China. When the USSR and China split due to ideological differences, the reason was because the USSR deStalinized while China held on, and who did the US support? Stalinist China of course, lol. When the Soviets had a plan to prevent China from acquiring nukes, who did the US support? China of course. The numerous human rights abuses China has carried out over the decades, silence from the US, yet the US will go ape s**t if Hungary makes a law about gays or something, lol.

China has never done any wrong in the eyes of the US.

https://21stcenturywire.com/2018/12/...yghur-problem/

accusations of "concentration camps" and violations of human rights abuses are a lie concocted by the CIA in an attempt to destabilize china.

the truth of the matter is that there were hundreds of terror attacks carried out in the xinjiang region by radicalized uighurs since the 2000s. being uneducated, and lacking language and hard skills means that they have very little upward mobility and are susceptible to radicalization.
instead of bombing the muslim terror group known as ETIM (east turkish islamic movement) in neighboring afghanistan, as the US has done, (another source)
China has instead chosen to put them in re-education camps to equip them with vocational and language skills. increasing hope and a brighter outlook for the future is the best deterrent to radicalization.

the 1M+ uighurs thrown into concentration camps is a BS figure with no valid, credible source. even the president of the uighur group can't articulate where he got that number from, but instead talks in circles saying he heard it in the media.

here is the strategy employed by the US, to destabilize china and disrupt there BRI, where xinjiang region is the gateway to the rest of central asia and europe.

by the way, denmark is also taking the deradicalization route.
so is france.

Im sorry OP, but how is China's treatment of their own citizens any of our business? WE can take it up with the UN. That is absolutely all we should do.

OP if you feel so strongly about it, head on over there and put those evil Chinese in their place. As far as I am concerned, it isn't our business and certainly not worth risking the lives of our soldiers, airmen or sailors.

I explained it in the post above. the CIA is using propaganda to smear China.

the reason is that china is quickly rising and on the verge of surpassing the US economically and technologically. the US is trying to put a stop to it by destabilizing their plans to carry out their BRI, which would cement them as top dog.

same thing with bans of huawei and tiktok. and tibet. and hong kong. and just about anything you hear about china from western press. all false propaganda and lies.
