“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped." -George Orwell, 1984
Let's be careful with blaming all Democrats. Not all Democrats support this crazy renaming and recategorizing of important historical figures and events just like not all Republicans support Trump. It's the extremists on both ends of the spectrum that need to be reined in. Still, and not to stray too far off topic, matters like these might just expose a riff within the Democratic Party that will widen until quite a few will break away and form their own party. I think a multiparty system beyond just two parties has been a long time coming.
So where are the Democrat voices opposing this? People are afraid to stand up lest they be charged with "racism." It's like a modern witch hunt.

I think a lot of us Gen X folks became aware of this book way back in high school. I remember reading it and thinking, there is no way that could ever happen.
Fast forward about 35 years, and it is spot on.
The ironic thing is that if it was to ever happen, we all thought it would come from the far right. Never even dreamed it could come from the left.
A generation later, the pendulum will swing, youth will rediscover the importance of our 16th president, and many will clamor to restore his honor. I sincerely doubt this extreme leftism will last.
Says every moderate Democrat. You guys are really bad at reading the tea leaves, or you don’t know any young people.

Progressive left is the new far right. We should not be surprised; just look at China, North Korea in the 60's, Vietnam, Cambodia in the 70's, all countries are communist state.
Anybody who has spent time in the Middle East has seen this exact thing before, which is ISIS and their destruction of cultural heritage.
But why did ISIS do this and why are factions in the US now doing it too? The goal is to destroy national unity and reject the rule of the law.
This should be taken very seriously. But since Democrats have already subverted the American people with their fraudulent election, what’s the point in even trying to fight it?
Maybe we should all just let it devolve so Democrats will finally realize what they’ve done?
The guy in charge of the renaming committee comes from an NOI background so there actually is an Islamic connection here.
Quote:
The man behind the renaming of 44 of San Francisco's schools is a first grade teacher who was influenced by his parents - both prominent members of the Nation of Islam - who set up their own Islamic school.
Jeremiah Jeffries, chairman of the renaming committee, revealed in an interview his mother told him 'There's nothing mysterious about progression. It's working instead of wishing.'
She and her husband set up the Sister Clara Muhammad School that serve a predominately African-American Muslim population.
A generation later, the pendulum will swing, youth will rediscover the importance of our 16th president, and many will clamor to restore his honor. I sincerely doubt this extreme leftism will last.
I used to think a youth rebellion against the leftism of the Woodstock Generation had to be coming eventually. But no, western society just moves further and further to the left. A generation from now pre-Obama America and all its leaders will be viewed pretty much the same way people view Apartheid South Africa today.

Moving left and societal decay seem to be the same thing.
Funny huh; many on the right warned that they wouldn't stop at Confederate statues. Those voices were mocked. Some have likened the statues to a kind of totem, where the statues stand in for that which the activists really desire to destroy.
