"Fainting can be triggered by many types of medical procedures. In fact, CDC has received reports of people fainting after nearly all vaccines."
"Giving patients a beverage, a snack, or some reassurance about the procedure has been shown to prevent some fainting. Studies are being done to look more into these strategies. However, many falls due to fainting can be prevented by having the patient sit or lie down. For this reason, experts recommend having patients sit in a chair or lay down when they receive a vaccination. In addition, patients should be observed for 15 minutes after vaccination."
Do you really think that there is a significant difference between 15 minutes and 17 minutes?
With her history she should have still been lying down, not up and in front of the camera, which tends to be anxiety inducing if you are not used to it.
IMO other than just the OMG sensationalist factor the media thrives on, there was no reason for this young woman's unfortunate event to even have been made public. It was an invasion of her privacy, though it seems she was ok with it.
If I were getting the vaccine, I sure wouldn't make a public event out of it by speaking to the media or even acknowledging their presence.
Some people faint when they have blood taken from them for lab tests too. Seen a number of them muhself.
She has fainted 6 times in the last 6 weeks. Imagine a nurse fainting like that on the job while she is attending to a patient. One has to wonder if she was experiencing a health issue like fainting every week, why would she be among the first to get the vaccine.
Detailed info which includes what is in the vaccine (if you can trust the FDA): https://www.fda.gov/media/144414/download Do you really want that injected into your body?
If she did not tell them and managed not to pass out at work, perhaps?
She said in her interview that she has passed out six times in the last six weeks. I would be shocked if her coworkers had no idea that she had this condition.
