9/11 was an inside job and much of our middle east meddling was about oil but also Israel... since we are pretty oil independent now the middle east is less of a concern. I agree with you about most of what you wrote though... but some conspiracies such a 9/11 are really true. It was an inside job. I'm not going to go over why or how I know.
Also.. Biden may very well have a degree of dementia. It's fairly obvious if you look at his behavior.

The funny thing about conspiracy theories is the antis....those who so quickly and boldly say those of us who believe in them are nuts, as if they know for a fact that THEIR view is the correct one, when they have as much "proof" to their view that there is no way a conspiracy theory could ever be correct. Irony isn't their strong suit.

when it comes to birtherism, by the preponderance of the evidence, my view is correct.

that's a strawman argument. of coarse there have been conspiracies thru out history. that fact doesn't validate the belief of the flat earthers.
the question you have to ask yourself is "does evidence that contradict the conspiracy show proof the conspiracy is bunk or show proof of the scope of that conspiracy?". example: the HI department of health confirmed the facts of obama's birth in october 2008. is that evidence that obama was born in HI or evidence that the HI department of health is part of the conspiracy?

I'm agnostic on whether or not Obama was born in America. It's pretty irrelevant one way or the other - his father never should have been allowed foot on American soil as it was. So...Obama should never have existed.
The media hasn't changed. People just started being able to communicate outside of their influence. Once people started talking independent of a controlled narrative, they started realizing things.

all the evidence is easily found. my personal favorite is the 1961 birth index that, to this day, you can walk right in to the HI department of health and view for yourself.

at the time the birthers were claiming it was the biggest constitutional crisis in our history.
I know a couple of conspiracy theorists, both of them for over thirty years. They weren't always that way, but after 9/11 they started dabbling in this stuff. The proliferation of the internet in the early 2000s aided in this practice which for some may have just started out as a hobby, or curiosity. Gradually they begin to believe one theory, beginning with the more believable ones, such as Lee Harvey Oswald didn't act alone, to the Bush Administration intelligence knew something was up in September 2001 but didn't act. Eventually this opens another door into a deeper theory. After awhile this doesn't satisfy them, and they seek further "truth" sometimes by looking into the dark web, or simply just listening to podcasts by extremists. They start to believe the spin, and they believe their own spin after awhile, and consequently dig themselves into such a hole, that they get tangled in an allegorical spiderweb, that they can't dig themselves out anymore. It's almost comparable to porn addiction, that standard acts don't satisfy anymore, but the user surfs and surfs for kinkier and more "el bizarro" images and videos. They are also comparable to certain religious groups who proselytize, and the conversation inadvertently turns to the conspiracy theory, even if baseball or the weather were the initial topic. One thing in common with the theorists are, from my observation of thirty plus years, that they are single men who appear to never have had girlfriends.
this is a good take. everyone has their "thing" .... lol these guys are single because a good woman would set them straight!
