Neither one twisted anyone's arm and made them cheat. It's on the cadets, no one else.

Agreed. I'm not excusing their behavior by any means, but the normalizing and acceptance of this at the top sets a tone for everyone down the chain.

Well the kids have seen the election being stolen and values being thrown out. Whatever happened to the old adage that if you work hard you will come out ahead? If you are a good person and do the right thing you will win? Bullies always get it in the end but the Left is a bully and they won.

So why not cheat to get ahead? That is what the Democrats have done.

If there is not doubt that the kids cheated on their tests they should be expelled for violating their oath.

Commanders set the tone and expectation for those in their command.
So you are saying every time member(s) of the military committing a war crime or cheating on a test, you can blame whoever the President is in charge at the time the crime/cheat being committed?

Hmm, very interesting.

My life is just fine regardless of Trump.

I do believe he does not understand his job or take it seriously. And that impacts everyone. And those who overlook his vast shortcomings and excuse his lack of interest are also complicit.

I'm saying that by excusing and normalizing lying and cheating at the highest levels, we cannot be shocked when it trickles down.

I can't buy that. Surely any young man/woman deemed qualified to enroll at West Point should be quite capable of judging right from wrong on their own with no one's help/influence. Only an individual can set the standards they choose to live by.

More than 70 cadets training at the U.S. Military Academy to be Army officers have been accused of cheating on a math exam taken online when they were studying remotely because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Ophardt, spokesman for the academy at West Point, said Monday that 73 cadets were accused of cheating on the calculus exam in May after instructors noticed irregularities in answers. All but one were freshmen, or plebes, in a class of 1,200. The other was a sophomore.
