I care about people getting thrown out on the streets. The economy will be fine because if people have money that need it in their hands that will stimulate the economy just fine.

It is a STIMULUS package. The point is for people to take the money and spend it. If my wife and I have 1200 each to spend we can. Now get a new floor installed or remodel a bathroom . That money now pays a contractor and his workers and the material supplyer. Now image millions of people middle class and poor doing that. It could be spent on fast food, take out, steaks, wine, car parts whatever. I could buy some diamonds for the wife. Whatever. Either way I'm providing somebody with a paycheck by spending money.

It's NOT for me to survive. It's for the ECONOMY to survive so that we all survive. If the economy collapses the only jobs available will be Gubmint jobs.

I didn’t get one last time and I don’t expect to get one next time. I just hope that they do the right thing and help Americans first.

To get the American consumer spending because that money actually does trickles down or at least it spreads out. Unlike the money we give rich people.

Send it, I'll spend it. To local businesses, to help them out. But personally I dont need it. Its better to do this than have the government blow it on something stupid that benefits nobody.

Btw. paying off debt does NOT stimulate the economy. Consumer spending does.

Exactly, I don't need it either. But I'll spend it and furthermore I'll think about where and try to direct it towards industries that have paid the price for me. This has all sucked really badly, and some corners of the economy have paid much more than others. It's time to pay them back.
