That was a very long time ago and very few people held those thoughts these days. This new hate is all from the left. They are just killing this country and I voted for Carter-Hillary full on democratic!

Why are you looking for blonde haired, blue eyed?
Because it's not typical of a kid's playground here in the U.S. where kids of all colors are playing together, that's why. Where's the confusion?

The op requested we not call each other names. I asked if they knew where they were. This is the POC area of city data. Every other post is name calling. Like a play ground. Children are there. That’s the picture attached. That was my response.

You may now respond in some disconnected way about colors and races if you’d like, I’m not explaining this any more.

It's most evident if you actually pay attention to the media though... do you really come across this stuff in everyday interactions with people? If I turn off the TV (get off these forums) I find most of it simply goes away. Garbage in, garbage out. Inputs directly affect outputs. All of personal development revolves around habits, choices, and making better ones to rewire that monkey part of our brain that is stimulated by media and consumerism in general.... the temptation to overeat, overspend, smoke, screw, and act impulsively versus self mastery.
I agree. Social media is where a lot of people get most of their information, and people tend to live in a bubble, surrounded by others who agree with them, and reinforce their word view. Social media and the internet are instant forms of communication, with no real filters to weed out false info. Also, it is possible to monetize these info sources, and there is money to be made by these blogs and outlets. People make money off of YouTube, Facebook, and other means. A little different than the days when newspapers and TV were the main sources of info. And we don't know how to fairly regulate the methods of spreading information/misinformation.
I remember many years ago, when we lived in rural Wisconsin, a man had a car breakdown in front of our property, so we invited him in to the house to wait for a tow truck to come. Seemed like a nice guy, but after a few minutes he pulled out a pamphlet from the John Birch Society, and began a rant about Jews and blacks. (He used another, much less polite term for blacks) i quickly escorted him out of the house to wait outside for his tow. My point is, this hateful speech and attitude was much less visible then, and was not in your face 24/7 like it is now. Before meeting this guy, I had never been confronted by this openly hateful of a person. People may have been as hateful then, but without the internet and social media, there was not the ability to form instant groups to reinforce your world view.
The internet provides us many wonderful things, but there is a dark side we have yet to learn to deal with fairly.

- Life is difficult
- Americans especially millennials and gen Z'ers are extremely soft
- We are seeing international competition to the extent Americans have never seen previously
- People want something or someone to blame rather than be accountable for their own plight

I watched a TedTalk given by Christian Picciolini. He used to be involved with Neo-Nazi skinheads on Chicago's South Side during the late 1980s. How he got into hate groups was this. He was born in Blue Island, IL (blue collar suburb of Chicago's South side) the son of hard working Italian immigrants. He had trouble fitting in growing up. He was an impressionable youth. He was smoking pot one day. A skinhead walked up to him and said "that's what the Jews and Communists want you to do to keep you docile". A skinhead got to Picciolini when he was vulnerable. From there he became a hateful, violent skinhead. He got into a bad crowd, got immersed in it when he was at his weakest, and turned into hateful person.

Some people get into hate because they are around people who influence them in the wrong way. Some people are weak and look for a place to belong. And in many cases, they go to the wrong places for it.

It's (some of) the media, populist politicians, and even some religious figures who advocate distrust and even hate over something so simple as political affiliation.
Again...established thoughts about life and society begins in the home, then one continues leaning toward what they have been regularly taught by those being influenced by. Unless, if at some point when still somewhat young, one might be given guidance that could alter their views.
