That's because back then whites were the majority and many if not most small towns reflected that. Should it have reflected something that wasn't the facts? There have been sitcoms with mostly blacks and Hispanics in them also.
Someone posted a picture recently in the forum that I "assumed" ? was taken in the U.S. somewhere of dozens of kids playing at a playground. There were only a couple of kids that seemed to be white the rest were all dark haired and darker skinned either blacks or Hispanics. I guess I should have complained vehemently? Even just mentioning that fact earned ire from the poster who posted it.

Lefties are plumb NUTS. America was 85% white (I've heard it was as high as 90% white) not long ago. Of course whites were going to control it.

Actually, I think it's because we have become way to divided, culturally, socially and politically. This is what too much diversity and immigration has brought us to. Bleeding heart, self hating white liberals have decided to be the champions of them by joining their ranks. It makes them feel morally superior and I'm not a racist I'm a realist.
I’ve traveled the world and only in the US do I see so much hate between political parties and even between individual states and people of different ethnicities. Why so? Why do us Americans put so much energy into foaming at the mouth hate?
I believe it may partially be due to US citizen’s mass infatuation with social media and news networks that are more opinion pieces looking for high ratings (aka money) than getting out facts and actual news. This all divides us even more.

Simple answer to this question. Fascism feeds on hatred and division, always has. It worked for the Nazis back in the 20th century and it works here in the USA in the 2020's. Create an enemy, whether it's Jews, Muslims, Mexicans, liberals, communists, socialists, black people, brown people - it really does not matter. Start by convincing the proles they need to FEAR these outsiders - then hate naturally follows.
The Neo-fascist scum that attacked our Capitol on January 6th have the same end goals as the Axis Powers that nearly destroyed the world in the 1940's, and they are following the same playbook. Only thing that is surprising is that anyone really does not understand this. Maybe they have never read a history book? Who knows.
