Simple, one side wants to preserve our Constitutional Republic as it was originally founded and the other side wishes to destroy it.
And both sides will say this is them.

i think hostility towards 'other' has escalated because the mainstream media, social media, and politicians have worked very hard to divide citizens into tribes.

victimhood has become an olympic sport.

finally, american citizenship rights are no longer exclusive to american citizens but available to whoever wanders into the country illegally.

I believe it may partially be due to US citizen’s mass infatuation with social media and news networks that are more opinion pieces looking for high ratings (aka money) than getting out facts and actual news. This all divides us even more.

Let’s try to have a civil conversation here. No need to rant about the left or right. No need for name calling.

Why is there so much hate in the USA? What is causing it?
Social media, the Fake News media, and Leftist indoctrination universities teaching hate. From my perspective 99% of the hate is from the Left and it's being triggered by the factors I identified in the first sentence.

There is no overarching commonality that binds this failing Empire.

Many people are reverting to their base-instinct of tribalism.

Prior to Obama, our common bond as Americans united as into the greatest tribe in the world. Then came the campaign by the Democrat left to divide us up into their vile "Identity politics" groups and pit everyone against each other, first and foremost along racial lines.

People are not "reverting" to anything. The Democrat left is knowingly, intentionally and purposefully doing everything within their power to tear this nation apart. And clearly they are succeeding.

They are just plain evil. They truly are.

Tribalism and bigotry were commonplace in America from day one.

Yes. The Nation of Islam has existed in America for a very long time, and with the emergence of BLM and black militias, you can bet the hate in America will grow to be even stronger.

Yet liberals were mass gathering dancing during election weekend as if Biden was going to change any of that.

How much hate do most people experience in their daily lives if they turn off the news for one week?
