What I find amazing is how the Left are all calling for unity now that Biden and the Democrats have stolen the election? I think that we should reward them with the same amount of unity that they afforded Trump, the Republicans and their supporters.
Unify and compromise with them? Like hell.
In their vocabulary compromise only means surrender to their social experiments. We had enough of that with obummmer.

Great post. I was going to chime in, but you are posting pretty much the same stuff I was going to post, so I will leave you to it.
I’ve traveled the world and only in the US do I see so much hate between political parties and even between individual states and people of different ethnicities. Why so? Why do us Americans put so much energy into foaming at the mouth hate?
I believe it may partially be due to US citizen’s mass infatuation with social media and news networks that are more opinion pieces looking for high ratings (aka money) than getting out facts and actual news. This all divides us even more.
Let’s try to have a civil conversation here. No need to rant about the left or right. No need for name calling.
Why is there so much hate in the USA? What is causing it?
The anonymity of the internet breeds hatred. When I'm out and about, even in deep blue areas (as a conservative white male), I rarely experience it. People are generally polite. Willing to help one another. They don't ask about your politics. Your race doesn't really matter.
That gives me hope. I believe Americans are, as a general rule, kind people.
When someone is sitting behind a computer screen and keyboard, they will shoot their mouth off. They think there are no consequences. To an extent, they're right.

So what about the BLM/ANTIFA riots and the nonstop incendiary smear campaigns by the Democrat left corporate media? How is the anonymity of the internet to blame for all of that?
The Fragile States Index in 2020 ranks the US at 149. Has the OP not heard of places like Yemen and Somalia? The US is 94th by homicide rate.
Alright, now you did it by introducing facts into the OP's premise of ignoring the past decades and blame President Donald Trump for everything instead of the effects of dumbing down society so someone's feeling don't hurt. Personal responsibility doesn't exist in socialism.
I don't believe a serious question has been raised, just more arguing with no end in sight.
Simple, one side wants to preserve our Constitutional Republic as it was originally founded and the other side wishes to destroy it.
Winner winner chicken dinner. This is the straight answer. I count myself amongst the Americans......the people who want to preserve our constitutional republic.
Just today.......Christmas day a bomb ripped through Nashville. I’m sure the bomb has something to do with our political divide. We are careening towards civil war. There is so much hate in the air you can see it.
Hate in America is as old as America itself. There has been racial hatred, political hatred, religious hatred, it's been around from day one. It's nothing new. The hate the OP sees in America has been around from day one. Look up Bleeding Kansas. Look up the Civil War. Look up every single riot that has ever occurred in the USA from 1800 to now.
So far it doesn’t sound like anyone has a valid answer. I’m just hearing “they suck and we know better so we hate them.” On both sides.
I’m still leaning toward Americans being glued to social media and highly divided opinionated “news” networks looking to stoke emotions for profits. That is the only difference I see between the US and other nations, many of which also have divided governments and political opinions. Yet in the US we are drowning in hate.
You got it. The right wing rags are actually worse than the mainstream, and anybody with an open mind can see they fuel conspiracy theories to get money. I support freedom of speech, but one of it's downfalls can be this type of polarization. It's most evident if you actually pay attention to the media though... do you really come across this stuff in everyday interactions with people? If I turn off the TV (get off these forums) I find most of it simply goes away. Garbage in, garbage out. Inputs directly affect outputs. All of personal development revolves around habits, choices, and making better ones to rewire that monkey part of our brain that is stimulated by media and consumerism in general.... the temptation to overeat, overspend, smoke, screw, and act impulsively versus self mastery.
