Seems like Los Angeles is basically the world's petri-dish of viruses there is no city that spreads disease more efficiently anywhere on earth than Los Angeles.

I don't think there is a city on the face of the earth since the 14th century that has been an incubator of virus then Los Angeles.

According, to covidactnow the transmission rate is up to 1.14 which means that the COVID-19 outbreak in LA is just starting to build and exponitional growth is on it's way unlike NYC and Chicago which are in much better at COVID-19 containment.

Los Angeles has more cases than Brazil with all the favela's and India with it's crowded cities.

There is no city anywhere on the face of this earth that has anywhere where close to the amount of COVID-19 spread of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is basically a massive biohazard because of the millions there living in absolute squalor.

I didn't even know such a high total was even popular, COVID-19 is very contagious but the basic reproduction rate is like around 2 so it is absolutely crazy the rates of COVID-19.

12% of those 29,000+ cases are likely to end up with COVID-19 to the level of needing hospitalization with-in the next two weeks.

Los Angeles had 29,464 new cases of COVID-19 reported December 26th which was #3 in the world.

Worldometer reports 160,000 cases, while COVID tracking project reports 189,000.

So anywhere between 15 and 20% of the nation's cases currently are Los Angeles.

India with well over a billion people had just over 18,000 cases
Brazil had just over 17,000 cases.

Yes. LA (and California as a whole) is doing poorly. It's unfortunate for the people there.

The worst performing states:

California
Ohio
New York
Massachusetts
Pennsylvania
Florida
Arizona
Texas
North
Carolina
Tennessee

What's interesting is that if you were to discount Los Angeles from California, Ohio would rank at the top of the list. That doesn't speak well for Ohio, given it's population in comparison to California.

Liberals don't like to practice what they preach. OR lockdowns don't work.

Either way, they only have 3 weeks left to blame all their problems on Trump.

It must be nice living in a world detached from reality. Your statement about hospitals is not based on reality what's so ever.

Anecdotal evidence from people I know who work in hospitals in CA says ambulances are waiting for hours to offload patients at ER's due to LACK OF CAPACITY.

But hey, don't just take my word for it:

Everyone thinks that everyone in CA is a lib. If you look at the way CA voted on the last set of propositions, you would realize this.

But with that being stated, the recent lockdown in CA has been lockdown in name only and is a complete farce.

During the first lockdown in April, nothing was opened at all except for essential retail, like grocery stores and hardware stores. Nobody and I mean nobody was gathering with those outside their house.

Bike trails and hiking trails were closed off a long with beaches, playgrounds and other things. At the beginning, there was somewhat decent enforcement.

Now, all retail is open, bike and hiking trails are jam packed with people, many people are still gathering with those outside their home and there is ABSOLUTELY NO ENFORCEMENT at all what so ever (a few county sheriff's and police departments have out right refused to enforce anything with the stay at home order).

Lockdown this is not.

Going to be very difficult for the left to blame Trump for liberal California's disasterous policies.....

Discount the most populous city from California, and you would do that why?

Ohio is under lockdowns and mask mandates.
