Democratic socialists and progressives cheered the move, but not all Democrats are on board with the major change in immigration policy, and the “Gang of Eight” Republicans, who are the Democrats’ best hope for compromise on the immigration issue, is fully opposed to granting blanket amnesty to 11 million undocumented individuals.

11 million is a joke.
Double it and we're getting close.

He should be focused on getting new, highly-skilled immigrants in the country first.

Set up a strong point system to get more PhDs, doctors, scientists and business people in here ASAP.

Also he needs to do everything he can to ensure diversity in immigration (not just whoever walked here from Guatemala). More folks from Nepal, Indonesia, Africa, China, Philippines, Ukraine, Serbia, Uzbekistan, etc.

For every high income earner you bring in, three illegals are needed to support their lifestyle needs.

We need a moderate in migration rate that is carefully balanced. Some say we have a lot of low skilled labor, but fail to realize a lot of that labor are the actual illegals. .1% of the national population annually is fair and manageable.

The Bill is designed to fail. They know blanket amnesty would be off the table. This is a giveaway to business interests. They can’t loose their cheap exploitable labor en masse.

The Bill is nothing more than political posturing. Those who crafted it knew before they put pen to paper that it had no chance of becoming law. They just assumed, correctly, that a bunch of easily duped "woke" folks would fawn all over them for writing it. This has always been the Democratic party's approach: promise pie-in-the-sky BS and snicker derisively while watching gullible voters fall for it. The proof is in the pudding: 80 million people voted for a Democrat POTUS without a single shred of evidence that any of it had a chance of becoming law. They ignored the historical records of Harris and Biden, which proves conclusively that neither care about Blacks, the environment, or any one of a plethora of "woke" whining points.

please thats nonsense we have millions of people who do nothing all day. We need incentives to get people out working those jobs. There is no such thing as a job Americans won't do. But employees might just be forced to actually pay a fair wage if they didn't have illegals to fall back on. And isn't that what we want to reduce the wealth divide?Supply and demand is key to doing that, not Government mandates and certainly not increasing the labor poor which supply and demand dictates will repress wages, therefore growing the wealth divide.

Joe is the perfect guy for the far left. Tell him what to say, and he will say it. Tell him to sign these papers and he signs them.

They are basically working with a blank slate to imprint their ideas on, and the next day it's wiped clean like an etch-a-sketch, ready to be filled up again.

He has no idea what he is saying or signing. And this is a perfect example. Joe, back when his mind was intact, would have never endorsed this bill. Now he just does whatever the AOCs of his party tell him to do.
