Yes and yes... but the people in charge have found out they don't need to convict.. they can simply arrest you and bankrupt you trying to defend yourself.... then, you will plead guilty because you have no choice.

It was just their excuse. They've been trying to silence the right since Obama was president.

Did you hear him call the insurrectionists patriots and tell them he loved them? Again, you have to ask?
So you have no evidence and just want me to presume he committed crimes because he is Trump?

Yikes.

If I, in Alaska, could watch it happening in real time, how the heck could someone a few blocks away, with the communication resources of the Office of the President of the United States of America, not "see any of it as it was happening"?

Since he couldn't see nor verbally communicate with them, Trump couldn't have done anything to stop them. His Twitter and Facebook accounts had been rather suddenly suspended, and that was his go-to method to reach lots of followers all at once, anywhere they happened to be.
No, they weren't. His twitter account was suspended after the riot. Also, he is - WAS - the president. The president doesn't have to rely on Twitter to communicate with the public.

So at what point was Donald Trump even aware of the break-in? At what point was he even capable of doing anything about it?
If he wasn't alert or connected enough to be aware of a riot at the capitol building as it was happening, that's almost worse than deliberately letting it continue. Obviously he knew. He could have done something about it - for example, he could have called in the National Guard. He did not. Mike Pence had to get that done.

His boosters need to take off the blinders and stop making excuses for him. You people are like abused wives who mysteriously run into doorknobs a lot.

It's obvious he wanted it both ways - he wanted a chance at throwing a wrench into the works of unseating him, and he also wanted plausible deniability if the insurrection failed to produce the desired result. He played fast and loose with the lives of thousands of people for the sake of his own bloated ego. It's disgusting.

This is the same BS that right wingers fanatics and Trumptards keep saying about Hillary's emails (long proven false), pedophile rings in the basement of a DC pizza parlor (which BTW, that place had no basement), and that each democrat administration is going to send stormtroopers to knock down your doors and take your guns (another FYI, when Trump got elected, a gun manufacturer actually went bankrupt b/c they were counting on Hillary winning to boost their sales).

C- for effort though.

That’s more or less what I was going to say. It’s a bit more crafty than some of his ‘16 campaign stuff which had racist overtones. I for one sure wouldn’t want to be the person prosecuting this one. I don’t legally see it faking into the category of unprotected speech.

You might get it.
On the contrary this EXACTLY what conservatives have been wishing for... They always cry "let the free market decide". Well, Trump is such a toxic person, that Facebook, Twitter, and other social media (who remember, are private, not government entities) felt compelled to drop him. Conservatives finally got their wish is all.
