Brian Sicknick was the Capitol police officer who was murdered by Republican terrorists in their failed attempt to usurp democracy and the results of a democratic election. This man gave his life in defense of the bedrock values our country was founded upon, and this man deserves to be honored as the HERO that he is.

Considering this assault on the Capitol was unprecedented, this man should be remembered as one of America's great patriots, who gave his life defending freedom and liberty from domestic terrorism.

Should he have a statue erected in front of the Capitol? Should there be a building renamed in his honor, and if so, which building should it be? Instead of Statuary Hall, I propose we rename it Sicknick Hall, in honor of this brave patriot who made the ultimate sacrifice.

By educating people (especially children and young adults) that govt police/security exists to protect government interests and will will do so to the point of great harm/death to any perceived threat. Along with that, make sure its understood that the interests of the state and those of the individual should never be confused as being one and the same.
A good parable for the kiddies is to associate the modern cop as one of King Georges redcoats sworn to protect the interests of the crown at all cost

This officer betrayed by his own because he too was a Trump supporter. I wonder if he was wearing a helmet at the time. I hear he was hit over head with something. I always thought a helmet will protect you from that.

He was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. It's important that his murderer is brought to justice. No matter his political inclinations, he died a hero, defending democracy.

Liberals have no idea who that is. cnn felt not to report on it because he was murdered by a BLM thug...and god forbid we cant paint them in a negative light.

That is why when you bring up things like this, Hunters laptop, Bidens extreme racism, Don Lemon sexually assaulting a guy in a bar...libs give you that deer in the headlights look. Its not because they are lying hypocrites...just ignorant lemmings.

My condolences to the officer's family and close friends.
But the real hero is Ashli Babbitt. In time, you will all be able to see that she was on the right side of history, and will be remembered thusly.
