Yikes, only $1,400? What happened to his promised $2,000?

They're counting the first $600 as part of the $2000. Your quote:

"To" $2000. Not "by" $2000. That is, the total amount, after both installments, would total $2000.
$2000 won't do it. We need at least $100,000 per family per year, and we need to start running annual budget deficits to the tune of $20T-$25T. It's the only solution.
$15 national minimum wage will create many unemployed to duck up those new benefits.
I'm all for minimum wage but it can't be national.
The wall will be finished on China joe's watch.
It will drive up prices and hurt those on a limited income. The ones currently making $11 an hour will now flock to the new $15 an hour jobs because they will no doubt be easier jobs to do. Some of the ones who it was meant to help, will get hurt.
The ones currently making $11 an hour will now flock to the new $15 an hour jobs ...
This made no sense.
If they raise the minimum wage to $15/hour, the people now making $11/hour will get a raise to $15/hour. So how or why would they flock to yet another $15/hour job? They won't be making any more money than they do now.
