The "extremists" on the Left would have a place in almost every major democracy in Europe. All the positions the "extremists" on the Left fight for are either battles European liberals fought and WON, or are currently fighting.
On the other hand, there isn't a functioning democracy on Earth where the positions coming from the extremists on the Right would be tolerated. Their positions are insane, dumb, or nonsensical, and anyone who's not hopelessly partisan recognizes that.

Agreed. It's important to note the Democracy part. There are very few democracy who'd tolerate the right-wing's positions but there are many many fascist/communists government who do. From no safety net, to no national health care, to blaming minorities, to denying election results, etc; most if not all fascist/communist regime would relate to that.
