This did not get much attention with everything going on in the US but yet another attempt by Putin and the oligarchs to undermine democracy. So how does Russia or other countries take us seriously anymore with the actions over the past month to undermine the election
Quote:
Navalny, 44, almost died after allegedly being poisoned by Russian agents working for the FSB intelligence agency in Siberia in August. Long a target of state repression for his pro-democracy and campaigns and criticism of President Vladimir Putin, the August plot marked a serious escalation in the government's efforts to silence Navalny.
His re-arrest has prompted protests in Western democratic nations, where lawmakers have called for Navalny's release and condemned the Kremlin's repeated efforts to silence his pro-democracy movement.
In the U.S., politicians urged incoming President-Elect Joe Biden to put Navalny's status at the center of his expected pushback on Putin, after four years of President Donald Trump who was widely criticized for being too soft on the Russian dictator.

( Except for the "undermining of democracy" in Russia and the birth of oligarchy took place on Clinton's watch. This particular *democrat* was very instrumental in all that. )

Y'all are the ones who "undermined" it. And why would it affect what the Russian government thinks of "us"?
Russia already knows that the facade of voting covers up a real power structure of left-wing authoritarianism and imperialism.
Why is anyone giving a hoot what goes on internally in Russia? That is their business.
I guess because democracy used to matter to us, we were held up as an example until this election. What exactly makes us better than Russia if we overturn legitimate elections.

Setting aside politics for a second, you should probably understand that the US govt. has overthrown numerous democracies over the years as well as propped up kings and dictators where it has served our interests.

What "democracy"?
"Truth and justice" the corporate way?
THAT kind of democracy?
I still find it utterly amusing how the so-called "left" hijacked the capitalist country embodied by someone like steak-chomping, golf-playing Trump, used corporations as the weapon of choice, and now this impostor of democracy is trying to climb on top of the world, claiming aforementioned "truth and justice."
We should put our troops in Russia in order to nation build.
Team America F yea!
You go girl)))
