Haha, I got banned for 30 days for criticizing the vaccines at health and wellness. They are very pro drug industry.
As the mod for Health and Wellness, if you got banned it was for another reason than for criticizing vaccines.
First of all, vaccine threads are NOT ALLOWED in H&W and that was the rule before I ever came on as mod. That's because people fight and fight and fight. Since COVID, I have allowed some discussions of THIS PARTICULAR vaccine because we are in a pandemic and some threads provide information.
When people start fighting over it, the thread is closed. Good places to discuss COVID are Current Events general coronavirus thread and there is a thread for older people on the Retirement Forum too.
Vaccines do NOT take 5-10 years to develop when we pour MONEY, TIME, and RESOURCE into developing it.
It's like that door in your house that no longer closes all the way and been like that for 5 years. It does not take 5 years to fix a door, it only took 5 years because no one bothered to fix it.

You can't compare vaccine development for a novel coronavirus to fixing a door yeesh!!!
Well, it's been up there for over four months (published September 1, 2020), so that seems unlikely.
Currently, there have been over 12 million doses of vaccine given in the U.S. I haven't heard of any real horror stories. Out of 12 million? That's actually pretty impressive.
Would it really surprise you if there were LOTS of side effects and they're just not being widely reported on? This is the same country that needed folks like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden to blow the whistle on extreme government corruption before we had any clue about it. For some reason, both the Left and Right of mainstream news seems to just go along to get along when it comes to big government projects.
Do you have any hard data the rate of side effects and their severity?
There is some growing evidence that very frail, very elderly people may experience greater side effects from the Pfizer vaccine, and even a correlation with increased mortality (as seen in Norway).

Norway targeted the most vulnerable within their population for the vaccination, very old, frail with serious disease.
This is the cohort most likely to die, no matter what.
Norway has not found any correlation between these deaths and the vaccine.
That is the same group who most often dies from covid yet when they die with covid people are upset that these old people were taken too soon due to covid yet when they die after a vaccine it seems to be ok because they were old and frail and with serious disease and were going to die soon anyway.

Oh, you mean like there are LOTS of people infected with Covid-19 but they're just not being widely reported on because nobody knows about them? Maybe some of them die, too, unreported. So yeah, I guess it would only be the really serious side effects that the health districts - and anybody else - hear about.

They have strong immunity systems.
In the 1917 Pandemic, were in the 20s and very strong immune systems.
Now with killed virus, DNA-RNA vaccines, we may still get reactions and highly unlikely to kill us vs an active reproducing virus.
I get a vaccine reaction that will put me down for 1-3 days. Even the annual flu vaccine will put me out for a day plus sore a arm. Age 70. prediabetic 2/stent/high BP/moderately high Cholesterol-being medicated.
