Anyone with a level of intelligence knows that “they” have no idea what they are really protesting for.
They just do it when given the chance, any excuse.

Anyone who disagrees is lying.
We have a very vocal group here who live to be lied to and eat propaganda as if they are starving. Thank God my parents raised me to think independently.

Anarchy is the failure to recognize authority. There is nothing left or right wing about it.

Portland has a long and rich history of protest and civil unrest dating back to Oregon’s statehood and state constitution which banned black people from entry and residence. Over the years, it seems to have attracted more than its fair share of people with extreme points of view who are increasingly willing to engage in violence.

I wish I had a grasp of the geography of the metro area and a sense of the pulse of the people who live there. By this I mean is the violence contained by geography or wide spread? How do most who reside there feel about the persistent violence?

Given the violence seems to occur en masse and is predictable, I don’t understand the city/ state reluctance to maintain a NG presence to help keep the peace.

I don't see how businesses in the protest areas are able to get insurance.

This is happening because the local political leadership in Portland, and Oregon in general, is allowing it to happen. It will continue to happen until that changes.

When you have a spineless mayor there will be no end.

What Portland protests?

All I've seen there are riots.

Or is victory rioting now a thing? That would suck because it would take the fun out of old fashion protest rioting.
Sorry, but they played the Dems like fiddles.
