He accomplished more in five days than Trump did in four years!
The key thing is... he just undid much of Trump's legacy over 4 years in a matter of days.
The wall was a joke. What good did walls do during the Capitol riots? Besides, Trump procured that money through executive order NOT legislation. He had his chance to build the entire wall if he wanted to back in 2017 and 2018. He did not take advantage of that.
Fun fact: The border was extended further under Obama than under Trump? Why? Trump's wall did not extend the border at all - maybe a mile or two. It replaced existing wall. The wall built during Obama's administration was set forth by law (Secure Fence Act of 2006). Bush signed that into law and Obama either didn't try to undo it or didn't want to. He let that finish up, as the law required. However, if you liked Trump's concept of the wall, you probably loved how Obama had more wall built under his watch than Trump's!
One thing is abundantly clear - Biden is more serious about coronavirus than Trump was. Considering that is the number one problem facing all of America today - it seems like we should all cheer that on. The guy and his administration are setting a great example by wearing a mask. Mind you, Biden is vaccinated. He doesn't need to wear a mask at this point (I don't think you can transmit the disease if you are vaccinated, but maybe someone in the medical field knows better). He is setting an example - an example we didn't have for the last 10-11 months.
Now, I'm not surprised that Trumpers are so focused on Biden not wearing a mask at the Lincoln Memorial. He was outdoor and not too close to anyone. And if you watch the entire segment, he took the mask off for a moment then when the performer was done, he put his mask back on. Much ado about nothing. Besides, the guy is setting a good example 98% of the time. That's better than the other guy that set a good example 0.1% of the time and told people it was all a hoax, fake news, etc etc.
As an entire body of work, I approve of Biden. I might not agree with each thing, but overall, he is doing well. It is fine to disagree on policy (usually). Biden was never going to win over anybody on the right with some policies. But, working towards a solution for coronavirus should be a win for everybody. And if you were one of these people that think it was a hoax to begin with, you shouldn't care anyway.
None of that matters. Trump was a meanie and didn't have "empathy."
Trump is the first president since Hoover to have a net job loss over his term. All of his "prosperity" in 2017-2019 was essentially the same growth pacing as under Obama. There was no sudden 5% surge in GDP. No sudden drop in unemployment - it simply kept going down at the same pace as under Obama. We were lucky that Trump didn't ruin more than he did.
And then came COVID, and he completely ignored, delayed, and botched the response. Highest unemployment since the Great Depression. 425,000 Americans dead - the largest destruction of American lives since WWII.
He's done a great job so far and I'm looking forward to four more years of competency and compassion.
Biden will not spend over 300 days golfing like Trump did and the Russians don't have pictures of him him with hookers.
That's less than the equivalent of Americans having a weekend off for four years. Obama golfed about half that amount if you account for eight years instead of four, but as far as tax payer money, I'm sure Michelle more than made up the difference with her frequent travel and lavish vacations on our dime.
OTOH, Biden has been accused of rape and there are several photos and videos of him being inappropriate around children. He already treated our military disgraceful making them sleep in parking garages like dogs.
