It seems that we are knee deep in a era where we are hyper on "race" and political correctness, erasing people who we've held as heroes for hundreds of years, trying to change our curriculum in school to say America started in 1619, extreme cancel culture, etc.

These issues seem to be hated by 70% of the population, yet they keep getting pushed at the highest levels, such as in Democrat-controlled areas in DC, in schools, and in the elite media and sports.

I see these things as having a short shelf life, but who knows? What do you think will happen to turn the tide on this insanity and how long do you think it will last?

I'd like to see it end sooner than later because being "woke" is all about your feelings, your emotions and that of others but things don't get done with feelings alone. Yes we need to have empathy for our common man but we also need to have common sense.

A woke person will rant about defunding and disbanding the Police because a very small percentage of Police might be racist whereas someone with common sense would say when you are in trouble who you gonna call?

I think the new "woke" will last until people can't take it anymore and since it is tied to politics and given how the Biden Bunch have embraced it by catering to special interest groups we might never see the end of it.

When will communists stop trying to sell tyranny while claiming it's humanitarian? Never. When will it subside to the point it doesn't affect your lives? When you kick it's ass.

Wokeness is the Democrats' weapon. It lets them feel superior to Republicans. They will keep using this weapon as long as it works for them, and helps them stay in power.

I think we have a winner here.

Actually I think it will end when the era of "White Guilt" ends too.

Well said.

I think that it will end with the next general election in which there will be a severe backlash to the Biden/Harris administration's policy -- and when people TRULY "wake up" to what has been going on the for the past 12 years.

I just hope that it won't be Trump or someone like him to take over in 2024.

I just do not understand why it seems that so many people are resistant to a moderate candidate who recognizes that there is a lot of ground in between the far right and far left views, and who is willing to work to bring about some kind of compromise that is at least somewhat acceptable to each side. (To give just two examples, allowing abortions through the first trimester but not later than that except in a relatively few "special circumstances" cases, and providing funding for more public statues of minority heroes, while prohibiting the destruction of any statue without a majority vote approving its removal.)

They have no clue how stupid it makes them look to reasonable everyday people. When a group of people lack the ability to feel shame, they can be oblivious to a lot of things.

I think the young Gen Z generation will rebel against the tendencies of the millennials, those around age 30, which seem to be much more submissive, sheltered, nannies.. they want masks, for the government to make all the decisions, for a compliant populace, the "everybody's a winner" mentality, they lack the rebellious nature of the boomers, and it tends to cycle back and forth between generations. The people in grade/high school now are hopefully more rebellious than today's 28-35 year olds. Many of this age group are the "enlightened" suburbanites who voted against Trump in the last election because his behavior... so 10-20ish years.
