Some interesting survey results.

The Democrats are no longer Democrats. They ARE socialists. 51% think socialism is better than capitalism.

8% of Republicans do.

Faith in institutions is interesting. Pretty low faith in judicial system and public schools by independents. Not particularly good for Republicans or Democrats.

Interesting and scary at the same time. Obviously Democrats have no historical reference point if they believe socialism in is better than free market economic system. Socialism has created more human misery than any economic system known to man.

When you are made up of young kids with no life experience, it's hard to compete against Santa Claus.

I believe in public education, public libraries, public parks, firehouses and police. I believe in Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security and even State, local and National parks.

So I guess I support socialism also

Please stop. This is not socialism.

Our economy is neither total capitalism or socialism.

I'm afraid that the lefties won the culture war. They've been at it for many decades now and the conservatives have been asleep at the wheel.

We'll have a stacked supreme court, two more states, and the filibuster will be gone. We'll have a one party system soon enough.

Academia and the media and big corporations are all in on the deal, the universities and colleges have been churning out anti-American ideas and values into the kids heads for 40 plus yrs now.

Not sure what America is going to look like in even just 10 yrs from now.

They have redefined the word "socialism" to mean the kind of capitalism they have in Scandinavian countries.

No that's a myth. Having some social programs does not make an economic system socialist.

And most of the things you mentioned are run locally. In socialism, everything is controlled by the central government, as in Communist China.

I just watched a documentary called, One Child Nation about China and it’s one child policy. It’s horrifying. I think those in the US who imagine socialism have an unrealistic utopian dream in their minds. Too trusting that the government wants to take care of them.

I never realized how willing people are to give up their rights.

My dad was always a challenge to be around or go places with, because he was always "protesting" every little thing, every "wrongdoing" done to him by people or businesses, etc. But now I'm starting to think he had the right idea, especially when it comes to politicians. Give them an inch...
