President Joe Biden on Thursday declared a halt to U.S. support for a Saudi Arabia-led military campaign in Yemen, demanding that the more than six-year war, widely seen as a proxy conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran, “has to end.”
“This war has to end,” the Democratic president said during a visit to the U.S. State Department in Washington. “And to underscore our commitment, we’re ending all American support for offensive operations in the war in Yemen, including relevant arms sales.”
Yeah, read between the lines: "'This war has to end,' the Democratic president said during a visit to the U.S. State Department in Washington. 'And to underscore our commitment, we’re ending all American support for offensive operations in the war in Yemen, including relevant arms sales.'"
Keep in mind the Yemeni rebels Saudi Arabia are fighting against have pledged to overthrow the Saudi government, so as unrealistic a scenario as this is, it gives SA wiggle room to call their actions "defensive." So it remains to be seen just how far these State Department limitations go.

It was the one really bad mark on the Trump Administration, supporting the Saudi's in this war. Good for Biden. However he halted the decrease in troops in Germany. All our troops around the world should be in the US. Not all over the world.
Biden and OBama agreed to sell the Saudi's 115 billion dollars of war machinery 6 years ago. Go figure.
I’ve read that Obama was far more trusting of the establishment than Biden, and Obama was president at the end of the day.
We will have to see how differently Biden handles things.
