Seems like North Dakota is trying to be a libertarian alternative to the Democratic states.

I love the fact that Americans are given a choice between very low taxes, regulations with first-class efficient services or scandenavian-level taxes with third-world level services

North Dakota is looking to cater to the gun manufacturing industry by exempting locally made guns from federal law which goal is to increase gun manufacuturing sector in the great state of North Dakota.

With over 8 billion in reserves, lawmakers are looking into a very simple 2% income tax for all that based on federal income tax liability.

There is a proposal also that passed legislation calls for legal cannabis sales to begin on July 1, 2022

Montana recently loosened there firearm laws also which allows for permitless carry of concealed weapons.

Most of that can simply be called "Constitutional". It follows the Constitution to do the things you have described.

Well, the Constitution doesn't put any limits on what taxes a state (or nation) can charge. But the idea that government shouldn't have to do much, and so they shouldn't have to charge much in taxes, certainly follows the spirit of the Constitution as well as the letter.

It can also be called "conservative": meaning small govt, personal responsibility and charity, and sovereignty of the state. "Libertarian" is very similar to "conservative", except that Libertarians waste less time trying to find exceptions to it.

I've taken notice as Noem has taken a different approach and tried to turn south dakota evangelical christian with her anti marijuana stance using the courts to nullify a voter approved amendment and saying she'll veto any legislation that's passed and now wanting to ban abortions of fetuses with down syndrome. She will get voted out in 2022 I believe but still...legal marijuana in ND would make it easy to go buy it there and bring it back.. The freedom hating wing of the republcan party will eventually get cast out of politics entirely in this state....especially that self serving shrew who's always preaching about freedom and small government. I can't stand republicans that do that. She is NOT for freedom.

You know, for someone who has never used pot and doesn't really give a damn about it, it sure does get old reading about it all the time.

The hypocrisy gets damned old as well. Smoking tobacco has been demonized. Yet pot has even more harmful chemicals in it when smoked and will likely cause more ill long-term health effects. But who gives a ****, right? As long as if rewires the old noggin. Why isn't there a call for legalizing LSD? Seems like that would be a lot more "fun." (ask the Beatles... well, okay, ask Ringo) And it wouldn't cause lung cancer.
