Maria Salazar, a Republican 1st-term Congresswoman from the Miami FL area is filing a bill that would significantly overhaul the immigration system ... or that is, the part of the system dealing with illegal immigrants.
But she's not leaving amnesty off the table, is she? Republican or not she has ethnic ties to illegal aliens.
Somebody tries to reform the system and already folks like you whining. You are never gonna get everything you want. Sometimes it's better to get something than to get nothing.

If the Republicans actually cared about stopping illegal immigration, it would have been done decades ago. All we see now is 'vote for me in the future' bs bills that continue to encourage people to come here, illegally.
Amnesty needs to be dissolved.
No amnesty, no DACA, no anchor babies...none of it. All it does is make people take the risk of getting caught, sent back, and trying again and again and again.
Want to stop it dead in its tracks? Finish the wall, prosecute EVERY single person who hires an illegal, no 'sanctuary' cities, and stop the handouts.

You call giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens "reform"? What we would be getting is the worst possible end of the stick. No deal! It was proven with the last amnesty that it just encourages more to come here. As long as there is no e-verify in place and there's birthright citizen for their kids and benefits still in place they will still come here but not in as large of numbers as there are now with good physical barriers in place. In the meantime the millions here already would be able to retain American jobs and it wouldn't alleviate the overcrowded conditions they have caused and the added stress on our natural and social resources.

First item of business - Border Security including a wall/barrier.
Border Security and Enforcement: Authorizes funding for a full border infrastructure system to gain and maintain operational control of the southern border. An impenetrable border infrastructure system includes enhanced physical barriers, employing the most up-to-date technology, increased personnel, and securing our ports of entry. A trigger mechanism ensures that the border is fully secure before subsequent reforms in this proposal are vested. It also implements mandatory E-Verify, ensures criminal aliens are removed immediately, increases penalties for illegal border crossings, and combats visa overstays.
"Full border infrastructure" doesn't mean a wall/barrier, though. Which I'm good with, honestly. I'll be interested to read the details of the bill and see projected costs.

lost on that poster. He's already said he wouldn't trade everything else he wanted just for the portion of the 800K DACA's who follow all the rules.
