Mr. Potato Head, the classic Hasbro toy who presumably lived the first 70-or-so years of his life as a male tuber, will soon be rebranded with the gender-neutral "Potato Head" moniker.

The new name will be reflected on packaging scheduled to debut later this year, the Associated Press reported on Thursday.

Hasbro reportedly claimed that Mr. Potato Head, who is often sold alongside Mrs. Potato Head, needed a "modern makeover," according to the AP. Both Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head were still categorized under their original names at Hasbro's website as of Thursday afternoon.

A representative for Hasbro did not immediately respond to a request for further information from Fox News.

Boyd added that Hasbro hopes the rebranding will allow for kids to make "little potato families" however they see fit.

The lefts latest attempt to marginalize the traditional nuclear family. Nothing shocking here.

Likely not selling so this gives Hasbro three things:
1) Free media for a new product that people will want to see
2) Refresh a product line and introduce it with minimal advertising cost
3) Cuts production cost, now you only need packaging and manufacturing options one item

People will focus on the trans stuff but this was a business decision that is likely a last-ditch attempt to save the product. How many kids still want a Mr. Tater Head?

If I'm remembering correctly from way back then, there were facial features in the box for both male and female so why bother to change it now? Oh, right. They woke up and are afraid of being the next to be cancelled.

There's a Mr and Mrs Tater Head. They can Just switch the pieces.

They are screwing up children - This is what the Left want to do.

Just don't buy the chit.

Uhm.... don’t know how to tell you this, but waaayy back before Mr. Potato Head came with a body and you stuck the body parts in a real potato, Mr. Potato Head came with girly lips and a purse in addition to a mustache, noses, and glasses. Mr. Potato Head was trans before trans was cool. He’s just going back to his roots.

Indeed

That said, why are they allowing Mrs. Potato Head to continue to exist?
Or are they hoping for a Chicago mayor situation, where presumable the female who is married to a transgender, can be a homosexual?
