Fauci lost my trust early on with "Don't wear a mask", "Wear a mask" theatrics and then admitting he lied so that production would go to medical workers.
He's a political figure first and a medical figure second.
No different than Birx who got caught vacationing with several generations of family after telling everyone to stay home for Thanksgiving.
They are making up the science as they go along and then retracting/modifying when the REAL facts come out later on.
I think Dr. Fauci addressed this. He said that the variants haven't spread widely yet.
one minute, we're told how contagious they are. the next day, we're told they haven't spread yet.
the Variant stats were updated from Mar 11 to Mar 16. There are 4686 cases of the B117 variant in the US. On the 11th, I believe the number was 4000. A week before, barely under 3,000.
New York was on a 4-day doubling of Covid cases. This hasn't doubled in 2 weeks.
I get my first vaccine shot tomorrow and the second two weeks later I guess. After that has had it's chance to fully take effect, I absolutely will not be wearing a mask everywhere I go unless I have no choice.
If somebody can give me a good reason to change my mind, then maybe I will. I haven't seen any good reasons.
I just listened to the video and Paul was just awful, speaking over Fauci, not letting him complete a sentence, using inflammatory statements. Clearly he took a page right out of trumps first Biden debate. The host had to basically turn off Paul. I doubt Paul will be asked back after that performance. Producers must have been blowing smoke out of this ears.
If you think Paul was wonderful I would guess you think trumps first debate showing was wonderful too.

Under grilling from Senator Paul (MD), Fauci admits the vaccines work and there is immunity therein. Paul ridiculed the fully vaccinated Fauci for parading around in two masks and accused him of political theatre. Fauci finally agreed he was actually immune but presented, without evidence, a brand new argument for the masking of the fully vaccinated: Possible infection by variants.
Any chance this Fauci fellow is grasping at straws?
