I couldn’t find a thread on this. This has blown up to epic proportions. We now have NBA players sticking up for the women. I’ll hold my thoughts till later. I’ll just say that the next time I get a new job, I want the same salary as the guy bringing in 400% more for the company than me. We are all doing the same work right?

Maybe the woke NBA will take the WNBA salary cap and NBA salary cap then combine them together then divide the total equally between all the WNBA and NBA players. Every player deserves the same facilities and pay right? Ratings or fan appeal should have no bearing on pay right?

The question should be why are schools wasting valuable resources creating a separate gym for women in the first place??? When I was in college, the weight room was used by ALL the students. There were no separate rooms for the girls.

Title IX requires facilities and opportunities to be equal.

Um, the men are playing in Indianapolis and the women are in San Antonio.

How much money do the men generate compared to the women? What percentage of the people watch college basketball at this time are watching the women?

The money shouldn't matter. The NCAA is a not for profit organization that rakes in billions of dollars. They can spend a little on providing decent facilities at their marquee events, regardless of whether it's men or women playing and competing.

The OP is confusing college sports with the NBA, this has nothing to do with salaries, it's about equal treatment of women in college sports.

Does it matter? I watched the women’s game last night. Sexism is probably most visible and most blatant in the world of sports and exists from the time kids are little. Giving the female athletes a decent gym comparable to their male counterparts is not that hard. With everyone being so woke on issues of race these days, can’t people recognize disparities for women as well?

Just have the women self-identify as men, then they'll be able to use the mens weight room.
