He is highly intelligent. He is a phenomenal debater. I’ve heard a couple of his podcasts, the guy could have given Rush Limbaugh a run for his money.
On another note, he doesn’t look near as creepy now that he has a beard.

Cruz is the senatorial version of Mr. Haney; they even look alike. He will try anything to get elected, even embracing the person who attacked his wife.
Anyone who would attach themselves to someone who denigrated his wife in public, before millions of people, has a very questionable set of values, in my opinion.
I've never met his wife, and I'm not sure what their relationship is.
Most husbands and wives probably don't like each other anyway.
