If you want to keep it to the eastern corridor, cool, say that.
You responded and I have now clarified. I don’t see a problem.

My sincerest apologies for my reply not accounting for California having nice beaches thus beaches likely not being a reason for Californians relocating.

Red state, Blue state blah blah blah. It doesn't matter why you invite them the point is they were invited and that is why they hold the power they do to get your state to bend to their will.

The point is States invite them in so stop complaining about the guess crapping on the carpet, their your guest.

Republican Governors are always begging, pandering, and bending over to get Sports and Hollywood in their state. And they WILL bend over to keep them there. All the aright Wing tuff talk sounds good until the tax revenue disappears. And if tax revenue does disappear then these same Governors will be begging for Sports and Hollywood to come back.

Democrats too! You have to show a ID for important functions, voting is important, so common sense will tell you that one will need proof of identification or it would be easier to cheat. ID’s aren’t that expensive.

I agree. I only hope more states do the same. We need to fight back.

What happens when these southern states continue growing as Hollywood and sports are pulling out and further alienating people?

Can Hollywood/sports be content in pandering to traditionally blue states that all basically have shrinking populations?

Wouldn’t some sort of business step in to fill any revenue void that Hollywood/sports leave?

A state like Georgia is poised to be around the 5th largest by the end of the decade. FL, TX, TN, SC, and NC are all growing faster than most traditionally blue states.

Hawaii is a bit different. It’s a blue state with a lot of a red mentality. Most locals do not leave because they are very Ohana orientated and education is not emphasized. Kids go to school here because they have to. Parents that do care about their children’s education spend the money and send them to private school. Christianity is pretty big here and people want to be left the hell alone. People here do not like to be told what to do. Law enforcement and teachers are highly respected. There is no “defund the police” mentality here and no wokeness. There is no playing the race card here. That’s not tolerated. The older population are the most respected. If you are older you will be called uncle or auntie. Hawaii is not a very political state. People here whether local or outsider do not really care about politics. Money isn’t really envied here too, but time is. There is no keeping up with the Jones’s because there are no Jones’s. For instance, BMW’s and Cadillac’s don’t fit in well here. You don’t want a nice expensive car here anyway. The climate will destroy it. When it comes to taxes, Hawaii property taxes are the lowest in the nation and they do not tax pensions. They have a progressive state income tax which can get pretty high, but I don’t need to worry about that. It’s actually a very friendly state to retirees. Where Hawaii gets very expensive is housing, food, electricity, and gas. I think most people that leave Hawaii are people who moved here from somewhere else and it just wasn’t for them. Hawaii is not for everybody. There isn’t much to do and island fever is real. Lot of people who come here come here to just disappear. It isn’t like people fleeing the tyranny of NY or California.

So what happens if these states simply start governing as they see fit with no concern for wokeness?

People aren’t going to stop moving south because of some Hollywood actors getting angry or a baseball all star game being pulled out.

It seems like the states are in control.
I left pro-sports many years before wokeness was a word.

When I came to the realization that mega-millionaires were whining that their millions were not mega enough, I walked away. Most fans would struggle to take their families to a professional sporting event so F pro-sports.

The time has far passed that humans evolve beyond celebrity worship.

I believe we are witnessing the fall of celebrity on a large scale...and with it their ability to influence the masses. The 2020 election saw an attempt at going all in...but there is a price to pay for that.
