GOP has made the rules the last 4 years....now the Dems are following them. Rule one - anything goes if you can get away with it.

Yet more evidence that the incompetent, lying old fool is totally beholden to the left wing of his vile party.
The trade off is obvious; we'll make sure you are the candidate, as long as we pick the loathsome Kamala as VP and you do everything we tell you to do.
The push continues for one party rule, and I'm afraid most people are too clueless or stupid to stop it.
Sic transit gloria mundi.

Democrats: "We need to get rid of Trump, who is trashing our beloved sacred institutional norms!"

Also Democrats: "we need to pack the Supreme Court because the Republicans outmaneuvered us!"

Republicans: It's not fair! The Democrats are going to outmaneuver us now! It's only okay when WE do it!

FDR's own Democrats stopped him. That's when Democrats actually supported the Constitution and listened to their Constituents. Now it's people like AOC & Socialists that run Washington.

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, the senior liberal on the Supreme Court, said Tuesday that court packing would do just the opposite, however. He argued that political interference in the court could only harm its perception as a neutral body.

“I hope and expect that the court will retain its authority,” Breyer said. “But that authority, like the rule of law, depends on trust, a trust that the court is guided by legal principle, not politics. Structural alteration motivated by the perception of political influence can only feed that perception, further eroding that trust.”

Even the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, arguably the most liberal justice of her time, argued against court packing.

“Nine seems to be a good number. It’s been that way for a long time,” she said in 2019. “I think it was a bad idea when President Franklin Roosevelt tried to pack the court.”

Sure doesn't look like it - Caving to Iran, appeasing China, Open borders, Leftist State Bailouts, threats to end Senate Rules, cramming down ZERO Republican supported bills and then calling those same Cram Down Bill "bipartisan".

We are ONLY up to day 80 of the JoeBama Administration and it's a MESS.

And between those two things, he tried like the devil to get it done: Increase the number of seats on the Court from 9 to 15... with the aim of appointing all 6 new Justices according to whether they believed it was OK to approve laws that went far beyond the Constitution's commands, if things were tough enough in the country to make them "really nice to have".

The reason he stopped trying to do this, was because all his far-left advisors told him they didn't have enough votes on Congress to pass it, and it would be a highly embarrassing defeat when large majorities in Congress so publicly disagreed with his plans. So he finally dropped it.

Nobody knew then, of course, that he would eventually serve FOUR terms as President, and so he'd be able to put large majorities of law-defying leftists on the court anyway.

------------------------------

BTW, when the Supreme Court kept finding his schemes unconstitutional, he proposed another: All justices age 70 or above, would be kicked off the court (he used the term "retired"). Most of the justices who kept finding his schemes unconstitutional, were 70 or above.

Liberals adamantly refuse to consider that maybe their schemes are bad, or unconstitutional, or will do more harm than good etc. Their ONLY objective is that they get enacted into law anyway.

Yeah, how dare a sitting president nominate a Supreme Court justice to fill a vacancy! After all, it's only his constitutional duty! And the nerve of the Senate to actually provide advice and consent for that nominee!

The democrats will want complete power and do anything they can to get it.. send anyone to jail whether they are innocent, lie their butts off, use the media to gain approval and serve the worst garbage wrapped in candy coated propaganda.

I cannot believe how anyone can listen to CNN or MSNBC.. they must be so brainwashed they will agree no matter how bad the democrats lie, cheat and propagandize everything in the point of a total crazy stand that destroys all of us.
