Cornell University’s Faculty Senate has approved a resolution that would no longer allow campus police “CRIME ALERT” emails to use race as an identifier when alerting students and faculty to a crime.

Resolution 158, also titled “Regarding Crime Alerts and Race” passed last week after being introduced earlier in February, Fox News reported on Monday. The resolution stated it sought to end the “false association of Blackness with criminality” and stop the justification of the “violent policing of Black people.”

“Whereas, the knowledge that a crime may have been committed by a Black man does not make CRIME ALERT recipients any safer, but instead endangers Black people in the community, reinforcing the common phenomenon of violence against Black people on the grounds that they look like suspected criminals,” the resolution read in part.

And when the wrong people keep being treated as a suspect they'll be sued and the virtue signaling practice will stop.

They should also remove sex (male/female) because it would be discriminatory towards transgenders.

Turn everyone into "a person of interest".

CRIME ALERT

A misdeed occurred on campus. All other details are being omitted to prevent the reinforcing of negative stereotypes and thereby making the campus a safer place overall.

Why not post the entire statement ? They ONLY mention Blacks and that statement can apply to everyone of every color. BUT they only care about Blacks.

"The United States is host to a generations-long epidemic of anti-Black violence"

What the hell is wrong with these people?
I'm starting to believe that they are doing this on purpose. They want to turn colorblind people into full-blown racists.

If that's indeed the goal, then they are doing a great job.

could that knowledge help.. just maybe... in apprehending the perpetrator?

or do you not care about that?

isn't it odd that people who are race-obsessed 24/7 suddenly lose all interest in race in instances like this, even when it will protect their students?
