On the job for only three month, Joe Biden is doing a magnificent job!

Quote:
The blockbuster economic results powered the Dow above 34,000 for the first time and the S&P 500 to a record finish.

Blockbuster jobs and retail numbers, coupled with growing vaccinations, buoyed hopes Thursday for a robust recovery after more than a year of economic reversals. U.S. stocks soared, lifting the Dow and S&P 500 to record heights.

First-time unemployment claims fell sharply last week to a pandemic low of 576,000, the Labor Department reported Thursday. That’s down 193,000 from the preceding week’s surprise spike, an unexpectedly strong showing even as unemployment remains elevated.

Meanwhile, fresh Commerce Department data showed retail sales soared 9.8 percent in March as stimulus checks hit bank accounts, business restrictions loosened and spring weather arrived. The better-than-expected jump comes on the heels of a 2.7 percent decline in February.

“Stellar jobless claims plus off the charts retail sales packs a positive one two punch and sends strong signals that the economy is full steam ahead toward recovery,” Mike Loewengart, managing director of investment strategy at E-Trade, said Thursday in comments emailed to The Washington Post. “While we haven’t necessarily seen the market move on strong economic beats or misses, it’s certainly a step in the right direction.”

When your days aren’t consumed with writing mean tweets, stoking white nationalism, strategizing how to lie to the press pool and Americans, you tend to get things done. Biden is getting things done for Americans.

Or lockdowns that shutdown businesses and caused mass layoffs are no longer in place and people can go out and about, spend money and even get jobs.

Just like I said in the other dimwitted thread on this topic....

Showering a huge number of people with undeserved welfare is a highly effective tool to boost economic activity.........

Most people can’t even fathom the long term consequences of this. Enjoy today’s standard of living, you will be missing it soon enough.

If Republicans would stop crashing the economy every time they get into power, we may not need massive stimulus efforts to get it back up and running. At least Biden isn't repeating Obama's mistake of not going big enough.

Magnificent job printing dollars out of thin air.

Yes, what a surprise retail spending skyrockets after 400 billion dollars of stimulus checks.

$5600 stimulus checks for a family of 4 is going to cause a spike in retail sales.

It definitely is a Republican issue. Eisenhower was the last Republican president to not hand his Democratic successor an economy in shambles. He was also an anomaly. You have to go back to the 1910s or before to find GOP administrations in which the economy actually performed well for more than just a short spurt before a big crash.

When you shower the people with money that they did not toil for, and therefor, cannot fully appreciate the value of, than naturally, they will spend it. Consumption is how we gauge our economy. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what will happen when the government hands out free money. Even demented geriatric slow Joe could figure this out.

And let's not forget, the only reason Biden gave out free money is because Trump did it. Yet another policy that slow Joe stole/plagiarized from Trump.
