This guy had grocery bags, he had no clue where he was or what he was doing. If he wanted to get himself killed he wouldn't be wandering around confused.
The tanks tried to get out of his way, he climbed on top to speak with the tank driver.
The way the picture makes it seem, he is stopping them from entering the city. But the protests had been suppress. Also these protests were rioters, many soldiers were killed that day before.
They were leaving the square, why would 'tank man' want to stop them?

What was your reaction when you learned this wasn't a brave protester standing in the way of a massacre, but a confused grocery shopper who was stopping the tanks form LEAVING the city, and these soldiers trying to get around him even as he climbed onto the tank to speak with the driver.
Does that make you question the narrative that is set by the government?

not only that, but there was another article debunking the whole tiananmen "massacre" that described how you could tell the tanks were leaving the square based direction the tanks were headed relative to buildings.
those who are familiar with the area would pick up on it, and of course the rest of the world would just believe the garbage that the media publishes.
