When countries fall into socialism, and beyond, the "what do we do" are all engrained in history:
some fight, and die for fredom
some give in, and become what are essentially slaves
some leave while they still can, because once freedom falls, its hard to escape
What is sad is that the enablers (in this case American Dem voters) are so naive, they think socialism lite, will be as far as it goes, and will make things better for everybody. It seldom stops there though, like it seemingly has in Northern Europe.
Most of the time, it just keeps drifting towards communism, until the top 1% have complete control over the other 99%.
If we could send all the Dem voters to Northern Europe for a 1 month trial of socialism lite, most of them would return as Republicans.
What's so bad about at least part of northern Europe? Conservatives admired Sweden for not shutting everything down.
The Houston Chronicle is looking into fraud in Texas. Yesterday's article about was about 'the Big Lie, If Voter fraud is epidemic, why can't Texas find It'?
According to the article after 15 years of looking among 94 million votes cast since 2005, the Texas AG has prosecuted 155 people. Some were felons who voted, some were small town politicians who were doing registration fraud, some were people who voted on their grandmas mail in ballot. One convicted was a Mexican who voted Republican, twice.
Read the piece. They even mentioned no serious claims on our Lt Govs offer of a million dollar reward.
The article also mention the 22,000 tax payer funded hours the prosecutors spent looking for fraud. It also mention the fraud discovered by the Heritage Foundation.
The big lie is costing more in taxpayer dollars than any voter fraud found. Must be a lifetime employment contract for Republican politicians and their friends.

You'd think so, but I don't sense rural Oklahomans want to declare war against the state from having legal medical marijuana and expanded Medicaid forced upon them mostly by Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

That certainly isn't true in solid Red States. But the big problem is that most of them are highly undesirable places to move to with one exception to the rule being Idaho. But that is because Idaho has lots of pretty mountain scenery.
Voting doesn't work anymore, now that the Democrats have gotten away with it they'l just print as many ballots as they need.

Could it have something to do with the minority party being so out of touch with reality in America and the values and concerns of voters that they can't attract voters? Could it be that voters are tired of the culture war mongers and pompous bible-thumpers in that party? Are they tired of being held hostage by GOP obstructionists who don't have any idea of how to govern? Are they wary of QAnon and Breitbart informing policy or legislation and armed right-wing militias invading government buildings? Could they be tired of lies or maybe even failure to recognize or respond to obvious entrenched patterns of abuse or the killing of people in police custody? Are they fed up with school shootings and the excuses and thoughts and prayers offered by the GOP?

The GOP has become the "get it while you can" party because, privately and in their inner consciousness, they know they are headed to the tar pit like the lumbering and extinct Mastodons.

There have been more mass killings under Biden since he was elected. I sort of said to people the last two years we needed Dems to win in 2020 in order to show everyone how moronic they are and how bad their policies would be. Once that happened I said they’d be wiped off the face of the earth in 2022 and 2024 and would move back to the middle again. I still stand by the prediction that’s exactly what happens
