In the media there is a saying "If it bleeds it leads" and a murder especially of a Police officers at the hands of Trump supporters trying to overthrow the election and dump democracy on its head is a great story. It doesn't matter if the story is fiction because the media will push it enough to make enough people believe it.
Pelosi and the rest lie to advance their agenda. Trump was never a threat to America and the World but he was a huuuge threat to the Democrats and their politics and that is why they are working overtime to bury him.
It's because journalism is nearly dead. Today the "news" hears a rumor and runs with it without fact checking their source. If the "news" fits the narrative they hype it.
There is still a crisis at the border. Kids are being dumped but the news has dropped it in favor of mass shootings. They are all pushing an agenda and giving us the old shell game of what they want us to see and lately Feel.
We are all being played.
The "news" hears a lie that they know is a lie and runs with it as if it is truth.
investigate how the capitol police could have got it so incredibly wrong? absolutely. why not?
how much 'confusion' would it take to claim that an officer was bashed in the head with a fire extinguisher and died as a result, when in truth he was not bashed in the head at all and died the following day of a stroke?
I think they *should* be thoroughly investigated as to how they botched the defense of the Capitol so bad. But for some strange reason, you're more focused on some "gotcha" over the reporting of his death than you are about him or 1/6 in general.
Quote:
you seem upset. is this hitting a little too close to home for you?
Say what? I'm not the one outraged over the reporting of an officer's death. You are.
The NYT created this lie after the 1/6 protest at the Capitol. And as usual, every other unreliable, far-left media source spread the lie with ZERO effort at verification. In case no one has heard-it was a lie, and even far-left Snopes agrees.
There was NEVER any evidence that Sicknick was struck with a fire extinguisher, or injured in any way by protesters (not that the actions of the protesters were right). The entire story was a fabrication of the NYT-which was pretty obvious from the beginning when they "quote" "unnamed sources". The real question? Why? What were they trying to accomplish with their lies and distortions? Manipulate the public (yet again)? Destroy what shred of credibility they had left? What about the other media manipulators that ran with the story with no effort to verify it? Are they trying to destroy their credibility? Open themselves up for lawsuits? You would think that at least one of these sources would have learned after fabricating the lie about Nick Sandman-and being sued for it. But it seems like they don't care about the truth, or the possible consequences of their lies.
Easy
Trump’s Acting Attorney General put out a press release attributing the officer’s death to injuries sustained while defending the Capital. There was no reason to not take the AG at his word.
The video of the officer being hit with a fire extinguisher had already been circulating. Sources confirmed that officer was Sicknick. Obviously, they were mistaken.
Subsequent, Medical Examiner concluded Sicknick, age 42, had died of natural causes, a stroke. Unlike fake news, the NYT retracted and corrected.
Had he been vaccinated, it’s likely the anti- vaxers would have attributed his death to the vaccine.
I am not sure if the officer(s) hit twice with a fire extinguisher were identified. The Florida man charged, pled guilty to this as well as throwing a wooden plank at officers and spraying them with some sort of chemical, as depicted in the video.
He claimed at the time, he was reacting to Trump’s claim of a stolen election.
The NYT created this lie after the 1/6 protest at the Capitol.
Do you have a citation for this or is it just your opinion?
"The U.S. attorney’s office has also opened a federal homicide investigation into the death of Brian D. Sicknick, a Capitol Hill police officer who died after pro-Trump rioters struck him with a fire extinguisher. Mr. Sicknick died on Thursday from injuries sustained “while physically engaging” with pro-Trump rioters who descended on the U.S. Capitol the day before." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/09/u...ultPosition=20
That was on 1/09/21 It was a referral to on 1/08/21:
"Law enforcement officials initially said Mr. Sicknick was struck with a fire extinguisher, but weeks later, police sources and investigators were at odds over whether he was hit. Medical experts have said he did not die of blunt force trauma, according to one law enforcement official. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/08/u...d-capitol.html
Basically, you statement about what the Times alleged is BS.
Since it isn't true, maybe they got their info from the NYT?
