Keep spoon feeding yourself the jurors were so intimidated they just capitulated and voted guilty. Don’t look at the tape or listen to the experts. Would hate for facts to get in the way.

That is the mode of operation for a certain group of people on here. Daily.
I would have served and voted against the rest of the jurors. And in the midst of the uproar, I would out myself on TV as the one who voted "not guilty"to all three charges and explained why. There is nothing to be afraid of and so much to gain in standing up against cowardice in America. The mob can't get me anymore than they can get Snowdon. He went to Russia. I could take a hiatus in Bali, Indonesia, and finance my vacation with a multi-million dollar book deal and TV interviews.
How would you get on this jury, lie? And then you would likely be charged for lying on state documents and you'd get a mis-trial. GG.
I think the problem is facts are irrefutable. Chauvin broke the policy. Chauvin didn't allow for people to render first aid. The defense couldn't prove Floyd would have died without Chauvin's knee for nearly 10 minutes and the lack of first aid. Chauvin also looked as emotionally detached as a serial killer. It is gonna be hard to prove the jurors were intimidated to the point it was greater than the facts provided in the trial.

Had there been no citizen video, it’s likely Chauvin would not have been charged.
Had Chauvin chose to have an ambulance called instead of performing for a crowd, he would still be employed and not convicted, awaiting sentencing.
LaQuan McDonald is the Chicago youth who was shot in the back by an officer as he slowly walked away from the cops. Once down, the officer fired 15 more shots into the kids body. Kid posed no risk to the officers. Officers created 400 pages of reports of the incident and failed to mention the officer shot the kid , let alone 16 times. Police Union fought to keep the dash cam video sealed.
A year later, McDonald’s worthless family is paid a $5 million settlement that included the family’s agreement to not release the video.
An independent journalist files suit for release. The rest is history.
There is no question there are thousands of situations throughout history where LE used excessive force, especially against black people. For the most part there was no public outrage. There was no video evidence.
The pendulum has now swung in the opposite direction, where extremists now seem to believe nearly any and all use of force is excessive and racially motivated. It is no more right than the long, long history of rationalizing use of force, regardless of the situation.
Two extreme opposite reactions, over time, a long, long time, don’t make any of it right.
Everyone may know, but not everyone will be impartial. There are certainly places that have not turned into Minneapolis.
It really doesnt matter because there is possibility she can become regular juror. That is why she there. Whoever intimidating her is making attempts at influencing the verdict. Who knows what else has been done?
LOLZ, if knee on neck that dangerous, we certainly have more deaths

Agree.
With more civilian videos, & with the crumbling 'blue wall of silence', law enforcement is facing increased scrutiny.
Minneapolis Police Were Sued A Decade Ago In Similar Restraint Case
Quote:
In recent years, many police departments have trained officers to be alert to the risk of what's called "positional asphyxia," the possibility that prolonged restraint of a suspect in a prone position can be deadly. It's a lesson some in the Minneapolis Police Department already learned once, 10 years ago.
Minneapolis paid out $3 million to settle a lawsuit over the 2010 death of David Smith, 28. The young black man was mentally ill, his attorneys said, and died after officers Tasered him and then held him facedown on the floor for several minutes. One of them kept a knee on his back even after he stopped responding to questions.
This video is excerpted from evidence presented in the court proceeding. As you can see in this video at 0:13, the officer is using a similar move-- a knee in the back of a man lying face down-- as officers used with George Floyd.
A video from one of the most lawless countries in the world with far stricter gun laws than the US.
It does not show anyone keeping his knee on the guy on the ground for 9+ minutes. It does not show the guy on the ground foaming at the mouth.
Agree.
Retired Sgt. David Ploeger of the Minneapolis Police Department testified that Minneapolis police officers are trained regarding the dangers of “positional asphyxia”.
They're trained to place restrained individuals in the “side recovery position” as quickly as possible so as not to restrict their breathing
The video timeframe revealed George Floyd was not placed in the ‘recovery position’ in time to prevent his death.
Besides Dr. Tobin, Dr. William Smock, an emergency medical physician with a specialty in forensic medicine testified:
"Mr. Floyd died from positional asphyxia, which is a fancy way of saying he died because he had no oxygen left in his body."
Besides, Dr. Tobin & Dr. Spock, Dr. Thomas, a forensic pathologist, & Assistant ME, showed the Jurors photographs of George Floyd's corpse. She explained the abrasions on the left side of his face & shoulder were wounds she stated were consistent with what it looks like on the video, that he was struggling to push himself into a position where he could breathe.

The title of this thread: "Chauvin Alternate Juror: ‘I Didn’t Want To Go Through The Rioting and Destruction Again."
Sooo, since this particular thread is about the jurors and their possible fears of violence, when you talk about looking at tape(s) are you talking about the videos of blm antifa, and Maxine, threatening that the vote needs to turn out the way they want it to or else, and the videos of the savagery done by blm antifa across the country and in Minneapolis as well over the past year? It's truly idiotic to think that those things were not on the minds of the jury.

Can't argue with you on that. The only way out is transparency. Let the world see everything on camera every time there is action taken by police. All videos of incidents must be posted by police on the internet and freely accessible to the public.
