Do you think that one day, all of the sudden, Germans just decided to start rounding up Jews?
No. It was one new restriction at a time. Oh, this isn't so bad. We can do this one little thing. And the next. And the next.
We're supposed to study history to learn from it. Why haven't you?
It started off as a "public health concern". The German government said Jews carried typhus so they had to wear a yellow patch so that people could avoid catching typhus.
It's not a good idea to spike the football before you get to the end zone.
We've done much more under much worse conditions. The reaction to this thing is manufactured. It's an unnaturally severe response to a threat that isn't significant enough to warrant it.
You know we fought our revolution and beat the most powerful military in the world during a smallpox epidemic, don't you? Germ theory wasn't even a thing at that point yet and we not only survived it; we thrived.
It's possible to have both of those goals, and it's possible to be focused on one before the other.
You are almost wanting to have tracking, ID cards, etc. so you can complain.
For now - take off your mask, go live. Nobody is tracking.
Sure some private businesses will ask for vaccination proof -- it might be liability, it might be concern for their staff and their customers -- but it isn't the government.....so relax.
Are you wanting issues that don't exist just to complain.
It's the optic of seeing others wear masks that the gov wants.
So they are telling people they don't need to wear masks anymore, earlier than most thought would happen. Makes sense!

The yearly flu kills 20-60k (I forget exact numbers) annually in USA. Coronavirus has killed almost 600k despite masking, social distancing, etc. measures that drove the flu numbers into insignificant this year. Obviously one is a lot more serious disease.

Unrealistic goals lead to a lot of anger because they can’t be accomplished. Covid will always be with us as you will never get 100% of the world vaccinated against it and it’s a virus that mutates rapidly. Even if you did manage to accomplish this totally unattainable goal, people are still contracting covid after getting the vaccine so it will continue to circulate no matter what. It’s impossible to eradicate covid. The sooner people accept this reality, the sooner we can stop fighting and get back to normal. This is a virus with 99% survival rate. This panic is u warranted. If you have your vaccines, no need to worry about everyone else. Live your life.
It's incrementalism. Do you think that one day, all of the sudden, Germans just decided to start rounding up Jews?
You like fear-mongering, don't you? Don't let paranoia rule your life, it can consume you.

I'm pretty sure you were the one in here claiming the mask mandates would never end, it must be frustrating for you that you fear-based belief system that others knew was irrational proved to be exactly that.
