You either don't have an understanding of woke/cancel culture, or you are being disingenuous.

The fact that private businesses feel they have to conform to the left's, dystopian, McCarthy-like culture, out of fear of being blacklisted, is the problem. Businesses will do what is in their best ineterests, as they should. But the fact that they feel that THIS is in their best interest, is a big problem for democrats.

America blames the far left for this, and rightfully so. And when I say "America" I mean conservatives, and most normal liberals alike. Don't believe me? Listen to the words of left-wing, actors, comedians, and other artists. I am not the only one warning you that this is going to put pressure on the pendulum the other way. Plenty of these left wing people in the arts have been telling you that as well. The vast majority of people HATE this cultural shift. And the worse it gets, the more moderates you lose.

That is coming from the evolving culture, not from government.

There was a time that people got blacklisted because they might (or might not) have been a communist.

There was a time that people became blacklisted because they didn't believe in God or maybe not the "right" god.

Americans hate when an ideology becomes tyrannical, even when it is an ideology they may otherwise agree with on the surface.

There is nothing more unAmerican than that. Actually, anti-American is probably a better way to describe it.

Romney booed. The GOP is eating their own who still have a sense of dignity and statesmanship.

Those left in the GOP literally will be lunatics that took over the asylum.

A small, vocal part of the evolving culture. Just like McCarthyism.

The majority are against it, and people of all political stripes are starting to take stands against it. Don't be surprised if that means voting for a republican instead of democrats who play to their far left extreme base.

I've never had a bad vote. I wasn't happy about voting for McCain, but he was my only logical choice.

Romney didn't deserve to be censured, the booing was enough to convey a large number of his constituents were unhappy.

Romney is in trouble because he voted for impeachment, not because it was the right thing, but because it was personal with him and despite what his constituents wanted. Of GOP Senators, Romney was #51 of 53 as rated by the ACU. Mike Lee from UT was #1.

Romney has made himself persona non grata by allowing his personal feelings for Trump intrude on his duty as a Senator.

Romney was never a conservative, paleo or neo. He has always been a patrician Republican, like his father before him. He has not always "stood up for what's right". He abandoned his lifelong pro-life stance to run for governor of MA and then switched back to run for president. Playing politics with life is not doing the right thing.

Jim Jordan has done zero wrong no matter how much the left has tried to silence him.

As to Matt Gaetz, where are his accusers? We KNOW the people by name who made complaints against Andrew Cuomo. We know the documented lies Cuomo told about Covid. All there is against Gaetz are unsourced news stories from the same outlets that have been making up news for years now.

Nonsense.

You are reading something into it that is not there. He was not there at that time to vote "what his constituents wanted", if you don't understand that you are hopelessly lost and clueless about the process.

The facts are what matters. What do the facts show?

Clearly Romney disappointed you because he didn't throw his vote. He has more character than most Republicans. He voted country over party, a rare quality in Republicans these days.

The same people here all gushing over Romney were the ones creating a huge scandal over him saying “binders of women” back in 2012

It was the wrong vote. Romney fell for Democrat lies, and he will pay the price

Then what is Bernie Sanders? He claimed to be an Independent until he ran for president. Then he said he was a Democrat.
