Again, as I've stated before, if the left would care about other riots as much as they did this one, then they might be believable, maybe.

And BTW, when all these insurrections charges are handed out, let us know, but anyone with 1/1024th of a brain knows what happened, they can hope all they want, but know deep down it's just riding the coat tails of nothing.

Not enough info for you to make a call on what happened on the sixth? Don’t know what the big lie is? Hard to believe you have no real opinion on the sixth, nor knowledge of what the lie might be.

January 6th started out as a protest to what happened in the election.

Because it was telegraphed so early, the enemies of Trump had a chance to gameplan and turn the protest into something other than what it was supposed to be.

So agitators from the left along with certain people from the Capitol police force facilitated the breach of the Capitol building and encouraged the Trump protestors to breach the Capitol building. The overwhelming majority of people did not take the bait, but some did.

Because the Trump crowd was generally a non-violent crowd, nothing really violent happened in the Capitol.

The enemies of Trump (in Congress, in the propaganda press) framed the whole event as the worst insurrection in the country's history... which hides the deeds done by their compadres in decades past.

The framing of the event as an extreme negative event (as opposed to putting a positive spin on the Floyd violent riots) sets a hard boundary for any further protests against the establishment and liberal elite interests.

It was hardly the worst one in history, there have been multiple armed insurrections in previous US history and clearly those insurrections resulted in more fatalities as well.

That said, it was the worst one in a very long time and some people felt it was the worst in at least one aspect, that it was fomented from within the government. Most previous US insurrections were by agitators outside the government who were dissatisfied with current US policy in some way.

How would it possibly "overturn and election?" What is the mechanism by which a bunch of people running into a building led by a man dressed as a buffalo could "overturn and election?"

How would that work?

It would work by preventing Congress from formalizing Biden’s victory. And they did succeed in getting that called off for at least a while. Your post continues a classic pattern I’ve seen on here of considering only the rioters actions, not their timing, location, or intention. By ignoring those three, you seek to minimize the event, or to equate it with other events of similar like actions only (other riots etc).

Are you claiming this was a mere prank by a bunch of goofballs?

I'm wondering what the narrative will be like in a few months on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Will the Democrat-Media Complex describe the events of that day as "the second greatest attack on the United States," Jan 6 being the worst?

HAHA! So you think these people thought they could "overturn an election" without even firing a single shot?

Armed with their cell phones, messing up paper on desks and breaking windows?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

You people have wild imaginations!

They should have hired the people from CHAZ. Those people at least set up a new city for a few weeks and shot some people dead. They have a lot more street cred than these pathetic "insurrectionists!"

HAHA!

Yes, Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and "the day that a bunch of people broke some windows and messed up papers on desks at the capitol."
