Very good article that points out the truth about police shootings... There are some on this forum that don't want to believe the truth and will continue to play the victim.
"One of the most pernicious myths about police shootings is that officers shoot unarmed black men at an alarming rate, when in fact just 2% of the people who were killed by an officer were unarmed and black. Since the beginning of 2015, law enforcement officers across the country have actually killed 33 more unarmed white people than unarmed black people".
This is a good point. Police officers (per the OP) have a 2% error rate in regards to life and death situations (if just considering unarmed black people). That's very high. If a Ford engineer had a 2% error rate with parts they produced, they would be fired. Murder is much worse.

Ford engineers don't encounter life and death situations.

Depends on the engineer. A .0004% error rate is considered acceptable in manufacturing. Like you pointed out in the OP, 2% is a very high error rate and is something that needs to be looked at. I never realized the situation with police shootings and unarmed people is this bad. It always seemed very isolated to me.

Where are you seeing a 2% "error" rate? I see no such stat in the article. Plus the whole engineer thing is a false analogy, two completely different contexts.
Why are we OK with police killing any unarmed people?
