The EU is .8 billion media market, they have already been starting to take actions against the US social media giants. I would love if they simply banned them outright and had European companies recreate these platforms.
It's obviously problematic for any country to have their politicians be put in 'timeout' due to decisions by US execs.

The antisemite who said that we need another Hitler wasn’t suspended. Seems that the liberal social media bans someone who says a man can’t get pregnant, which of course is true, but allows a Jew-hater to remain after saying all Jews should be exterminated.
Use an alternative social media which allows free speech.
The more competition Twitter has, including competition outside of the US the better.
Currently the big US tech companies rule the internet, and this needs to stop.
Encouragement and legislation must be put in place to allow healthy competition to grow.
