If they are telling the truth, hopefully they get a nice settlement.

Exactly. These women are police officers and they didn’t realize the entire time that what they were doing was wrong? I have a hard time believing this. Something is very fishy about this case.

Prostitution would not be a problem if it was regulated and legal. It's worked in Nevada for over 50 years without issues. It's the fact that it's illegal that allows criminal enterprises to operate in human trafficking's.

Odd that the Police Chief was involved in these operations where he would interact with the female officers. I suspect he created this operation so he could entertain himself. He sounds like some kind of sex offender this Police chief. There should be criminal charges for some of these officers.

This was done by a Cinstables office. For those who don't know Houston and Harris county law enforcement a not so brief tutorial.

The city of Houston is a little more than half the population od Harris county. They have the HPD.

There are several other incorporated cities in Harris county with their own PDs.

Unincorporated Harris county has the sheriff department.

The constables traditionally served papers for the courts all over the county and the CoH..

Back in the 70's many subdivisions needed additional patrolling. The HCSO never has enough deputies on the streets. The subdivisions hired deputies They paid the salary, the HCSO provided the car.

There was a Constable, Tracy Maxon, who along with a county commissioner decided to get in on the racket. So the constables also did the same hired gun thing as the HCSO.

So now, unincorporated Harris county has the Sheriff's department, the independently elected Constables, most school district have their own cops who can do anything any other cop can do.

Now remember, the City of Houston has their own police force. All these sheriffs and constables can also work in the city.

I's a mess. So many agencies doing the same job. Crime keeps increasing, and the courts that have been behind since Harvey just keep letting people out on bail or none.

There is a lot of pressure to conform and do things that are wrong, especially in police forces. Individuals are intimidated or coerced into being victims of sexual abuse in many lines of work. Why would it be hard to believe that it could occur in police forces where not can your job and career be on the line, but also your life if your fellow officers or constables don't see you as a team player. Blue Wall of Silence.

I’m not anti police but they’re gangsters anymore by it’s own definition. “Police on one side and everyone else on the other“ that is a real thing. I read an article a couple of years ago, where they estimated that as much as 40% of police under age 50 use steriods and other highly illegal drugs to enhance their physical abilities. It’s an end thing to be an over bloated, over muscled intimidating cop. Only issue with that, is along with these physical attributes, comes extreme mental aggression. The inability to reason and the inability to empathize when you’re using those compounds. Meat head cops.

I’m not anti law enforcement but the police do not have your back, they only have their own. They lie, cheat, makeup stuff all the time and get away with it 99% of the time. It’s got to change.

I would be surprised to find this same kind of conduct in other departments. I could see sexual harassment generally even that today has really been curtailed as generally quickly leads to lawsuits.

This reminds me of a plotline from Hill Street Blues where everybody was shocked that an undercover cop slept with her target and she was indignant asking what did you expect when they sent her in. In effect hoping the undercover would be seen as a marry(as a virgin) and not a have sex with or kill by her target. Is it worth it for the drug lord or nuke selling arms dealer?

However setting up a cop and using other cops to show the pathetic loser strip club customer that a dancer will indeed play just so he would be primed to offer payment. That the cops saw themselves as Black Widow agents to protect society from men offering strippers money to touch parts of their body is just mission overreach.
