It's a drug that been around for decades, and is really cheap, and available as a generic.

Pretty easy to see why big pharma and the politicians in their pockets swept Invermectin under the rug as a covid weapon. There was no money to be made.

A friend, Dr Mike Fisher, developed ivermectin at Merck. It was an anti helmenthic for worming cattle.

Found to cure River blindness in humans. Merck donated the meds to the affected countries for free.

there have been documented cases of last resort treatment with ivermectin and miraculous success.

If an alternative Rx existed, an emergency approved drug could not be used.

Fauci intentionally misled when asked about the efficacy of hydroxy. He had a political narrative to protect and so failed to explain off label use. Investigative journalists just happen to lose their curiosity and turned a blind eye to information that would clarify the use of off label drugs.

A patients concomitant meds, medical history, current physical exam determine courtse of treatment, what works for one may not work for someone else.

Seniors with serious comorbidity conditions survive while a 40 year old with minor or undetected conditions die.

A number of off label meds to choose from, but insurance, hospital policy, fed and state funds interfere. We will never know the true extent of covid which is more likely over counted than under counted.

Science has been distorted by politics and insurance.
