Unproductive ones at that.
Would you celebrate a crime family adding more leg breakers to collect protection money?

If this means it's easier to reach a real human being when you call them I see some value in that.

Really what we need isa complete overhaul to the Internal Revenue Code to make it much, much simpler. That would decrease the need for as many folks at the IRS and decrease costs and stress to taxpayers. But unfortunately I can't see it happening in my lifetime - we'll never have the collective political will to completely rewrite the Code.

So what we have is a proposal to collect from the top x% that have been getting away without paying their fair share (like some elected officials that we have known) and this is bad why?

Yep that group now paying over 80% of ALL income taxes is not "fair" enough for some.

Wouldn't expect any less from a yankee.

A national sales tax is all we need.

Instead of increasing them, we could bet rid of 80% of them and SAVE a lot of tax dollars.

Nope, I got audited and made about 90k a year combined income with spouse. It is one of the most terrifying ordeals ever endured. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Now, I just hire an accounting firm for my PERSONAL taxes.

I'd bet they would find ways so the "rich" in Hollywood and the music industry were protected.
