Immigration has historically helped economies in the USA, even if the Trump fanboys and girls don't like it. Now a very interesting economic impact assessment article showing why if the USA wants to continue to lead, they need, I mean, really, really need, immigration, and a lot more of it.

Immigration was always been a source of strength to the USA.

Except for the original inhabitants (The native peoples) we are all immigrants or descended from immigrants.

Are we talking about selective immigration or flooding the nation with low education/low skilled, high birthrate immigrants?

The devil's in the details.

In the past yes. But importing poor, barely educated people who end up on welfare will hardly boost our economy.

When Cubans fled to the US that consisted of doctors, lawyers, teachers....educated, white collar people who did not rely on welfare. They opened up businesses, got their skills accredited in the US and got jobs.
That is an example of successful immigration that helped the economy of South Florida.

You are descendants of settlers.

I'm still a native regardless of what you think.

My country of birth is the US.

More failed predictions from the left wing economists who predicted the economy would tank under Trump, jobs would be lost and the inflation was knocking on Trump's door.. amazing they still have a paying job.

Call BS on that prediction first because it came from Trump haters and 2nd because the US under trump invited in more immigrants than any other country.

Uneducated, unskilled immigrants draining taxpayers do not an economy make.

Go back far enough and there are no "original inhabitants".

Some new findings suggest humans originated in the Middle East and migrated from there.
This was back in 2017.

Modern man may have evolved in the Middle East rather than Africa, it has been claimed, after the discovery of remains said to be more than 400,000 years old.
